Also if you want obviously and if you can upgrade to AMD (before the Intel fanboys get here i want to explain why) AM4 PLATFORM IS GOING TO END AT 2020, so if you buy a R7 1700 cheap, you can upgrade later just the cpu, because the am4 platform of the b350 x370 etc is still working with a bios update.

Or just buy a used motherboard with cpu like the ryzen 5 1400 with a b350 mobo from Asrock for example.

That is exactly how its supposed to be. Wouldn't you want your drive to be opening a program as fast as it possible could? When you open a program, or launch a game, your drive maxes out while it loads it as fast as it can.

It's an ancient budget PSU. Definitely replace it.

You only need one for the pump, the fans can be hooked up to the AIO pump block via a breakout cable. The unit does require sata power and a USB 2.0 internal connection if you want to use the CAM software for control.

A good 1 that isn't expensive is the seasonic M12ii 520
Going w/ a lesser quality PSU just brings too many risks regarding possible failure in the PSU, potentially causing damage to your whole system. Not to mention possible house fires.

It's okay. It won't set your system on fire like people think it will, and it's definitely not as bad as ThermalTake's Smart serious (seriously it was awful from the day I bought it).

I have ran WD, seageate , Hitachi and Toshiba. the last 2 have all been in use for less than 1 year. I have had 1 WD drive fail after 10 years and my seagate is fine after 4 years. I do only have 1 drive from the last 3 and 2 from the first so my data is a small and short sample size. 

These days the 3.5" Toshiba drives are actually Hitachi drives. 2.5" Toshiba drives are still made by Toshiba and their own design. Adata do not make hard drives.
 
Hitachi are generally the drives with the lowest failure rates, so yes, buying a Toshiba if it's 3.5" is a good idea because it's actually a Hitachi.

When your components are drawing 300W, the power supply will draw a little more AC power from the wall, maybe 375W, and then generate the required 300W of DC power for the components. The rest is lost in the conversion process and becomes heat inside the power supply.
 
A more efficient power supply loses less power this way, and that also means it has less heat to get rid of. So higher efficiency power supplies are typically less noisy.
The plain 80+ rating (below 80+ bronze) uses the white color.

you will only use 300w. 1000w is just the max the psu can supply.

most good PSU's will have an efficiency curve you can look up, basically match peak efficiency to the power draw you will spend the most time at while keeping peak rating 10-15% above your max draw (as power output drops with age), if you want to be super efficient.

Effecency doesn't effect quality. It only effects how efficient that psu is.
 
Id your using a system with a max of 300w, id get something like a 360w psu, no reason to get anything bigger.
