Oh dear.  No.  The fan dying is a sign from God.  Don't bother replacing the fan.  Replace the PSU.

What PSU is it? If the PSU isn't under warranty then maybe, if you know what you're doing and have a soldering iron, you can do it, but you are risking your life.

IF it's still under warranty then RMA it.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

That's quite an improvement. It may be older but it's better than your old OCZ.

Still better than your OCZ.

My only issue would be the age of the PSU... how long it's been sitting around.  It's probably about 7 years old.  5 years at the newest since that's when they were replaced by the CS-M line.

So you have had it for four years.  First four digits of the serial number is the year and the week of the year it was manufactured.

Still better than your OCZ.

its 1319 so the 19th week of 2013 right

can i ask whats so bad about the ocz?

also do you think the tx650 will last or should i start saving up to replace it to

Correct.

First, the obvious:  It's even older than your TX.  The fan is dead.

Second:  Only 80 PLUS efficiency.

Finally:  The same reason why your TX isn't "ideal":  Old topology (double forward, group regulated), Taiwainese caps (not that this is a bad thing, but you pointed out that the TX-M has Taiwanese caps and that seems to be a concern for you), including the primary (even the TX has a Japanese primary).

Probably.  I've seen them last over 10 years before.
