Don't bother putting a dollar value unless you're buying in dollars. Better to link the site you're buying from, and having people help you that way otherwise you're going to get part suggestions that make absolutely no sense.

Between those two cards I'd just get the one that offers the best warranty support in your region.

High RAM usage, though every browser does that, including Firefox.
People just love to hate on Google much like they like to hate on Intel.

dizmo reacted to RONOTHAN## in why most hate Chrome Browser ?
It isn't. There's some ethical reasoning behind not wanting to use it, because Chrome/Chromium project is more or less gaining a monopoly over the web browser space (most popular browsers like Edge, Brave, Opera GX, and most obviously Chrome are based on the Chromium project), plus a lot of people dislike/distrust Google. There's also the issue of Chrome using a ton of RAM, but since pretty much everything but Firefox is Chromium based at this point that's more an issue with web browsers in general than with Chrome specifically.

I as well as a lot of other people I know still actively use Chrome as their main web browser. It's not necessarily the best, but it's more than adequate and there's no real reason to switch to something else.

I personally wouldn't bother upgrading unless you get it for a killer deal, if you're looking at cards in the same generation.
The best 40 series card is the 4090.
I'd avoid AMD cards if it were my build, in my experience they tend to have more issues than Nvidia cards as far as drivers are concerned.

Is there a particular reason you want to upgrade?
    What monitor are you running?

You clearly have no grasp of how much it actually costs to bring products to market, especially in small batches.
Perhaps you should educate yourself a little more before spouting disinformation.

Ultra settings are dumb. In most games high settings look indistinguishable from ultra and ultra just lowers your fps.

That said, your performance in Starfield sounds right in line with what reviewers have found.

AMD cards have a bit of an advantage in this title right now. For reference, I have an RX 6800 and the same CPU as you and I get similar performance to what you describe at 1440p, although your card is theoretically faster than mine.

There will probably be some optimization patches that make the game run better. For now all you can do is wait. Personally I think 50-60fps is quite adequate for this game, assuming you have a variable refresh rate monitor to help smooth out the appearance of any drops.

dizmo got a reaction from Needfuldoer in I'm surprised that LTT didn't post reviews of new the AMD hardware... hopefully for the best
I think they're just going to take their time with videos, and it doesn't really have anything to do with finding errors. LTT wasn't really a channel that people went to for the most in depth reviews, so them not releasing the video at launch won't really affect their viewership that much.

Haha, no. Maybe for some, sure, but in the bigger picture? But a slight hitch in their company as a whole. The only way it'd gravely affect them is if they let that thought guide their decisions.

6400 isn't reliable to work on the 12700K. The memory controller on those Alder Lake CPUs is terrible, and unless you're on a 2 DIMM board like the Tachyon or Apex you can't get speeds above 6400 to work, and 6400 is hit or miss (on the 6 layer boards like that one it's more miss than hit).

No. If you want to go for a high speed kit like that one and are willing to manually enter settings, get this kit instead: https://a.co/d/1ANU3F4
It is guaranteed to be Hynix A die and will do 7200+ CL34 reliably, most people on good boards and CPUs are able to get it to 8400+ at good timings. It will take the same amount of effort as those higher speed kits, so you might as well save the $50 with it or put it towards a better CPU/motherboard.

As for the CPU, I'd try to avoid the 12700K if possible. The 13600KF is slightly faster and only an extra $10, with it you get lower temps thanks to its lower thermal density and a better memory controller. As for the motherboard, $230 for that board is pretty high as the Z690 Carbon/Force (same board, different color scheme) is a significantly better motherboard for only $20 more (on Amazon the Force is the same price).

I'd just build it yourself. You're not really gaining anything going through a builder. If it's only 1 year warranty on everything, you're actually getting less.
If you can put together a LEGO set, you can put together a PC.
You over spec'd your PSU; you don't need 1000w.

The build @brob put together is great, and the build @My poodle is not French is good if you don't mind an AMD card.

I find it funny that Jay just kept his head down and didn't chime in...though, most of his videos lately have just been rants. I feel he's lost the love.

    OK.
First off it will support your chip but you do need to update the BIOS before it will work with it.

For updating, look here on how to do it.
Download the manual for it and simply follow the instructions. https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-AB350N-Gaming-WIFI-rev-10/support#support-manual

Now, here's the part you don't want to hear.
Ryzen and Corsair Vengeance RAM DO NOT like each other too well.

This has been a problem for a long time now and although you may get lucky and have it to work without problems, I would at least "Expect" (Don't be suprised) some issues from this board and CPU gen running with those sticks.

If you start having random crashing, errors popping up and just overall weird behaviour taking place that's probrably it because all that is well documented and frankly, there have been more threads/problems with this exact issue than I can count, with the sticks ending up being the source of these problems.

If in doubt, refer to the board's QVL list for sticks that are supported correctly and go from there.
