If you are willing to assemble the system yourself or know someone that can do it for you, consider buying from multiple sources.

I'd just build it yourself. You're not really gaining anything going through a builder. If it's only 1 year warranty on everything, you're actually getting less.

If you can put together a LEGO set, you can put together a PC.

You over spec'd your PSU; you don't need 1000w.

The build @brob put together is great, and the build @My poodle is not French is good if you don't mind an AMD card.

Both are less expensive, quieter and higher performance than the NH-U12S.

https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/tWYmP6/deepcool-ak500-zero-dark-6899-cfm-cpu-cooler-r-ak500-bknnmt-g-1

Better performing and less expensive NVMe drives.

https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/sJPQzy/kingston-kc3000-2048-tb-m2-2280-nvme-solid-state-drive-skc3000d2048g

Has an optical drive bay behind the lower front panel and is less expensive. It also has a glass rather than acrylic side panel. It is also a little smaller than the Enthoo Pro.

Why are you including a sound card?

is there a particular reason for getting Windows Pro rather than Home?

Either CPU will provide a decent gaming experience.

i updated my lists with the KC3000 and the Peerless Assassin 120 SE

https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/HBfYTY

https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/smd4qR

i really don't like the fractal design pro air

- the drive bay is on the bottom and my pc is on my desk with my mouse directly in front of it, i would remove that front panel door permanently

- the usb are on top instead of the front, can't reach them without getting up

Windows Pro for Group Policy

It's a magnetically attached panel, so removing it would be straight forward. But front panel on the top is understandably a deal killer.

If you are willing to spend a bit more there is a tempered glass version of the Enthoo Pro, https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/BfPKHx/phanteks-enthoo-pro-tempered-glass-atx-full-tower-case-ph-es614ptg_bk.

is tempered glass better ? why ?

pcpartpicker always give me this warning :

CPU Cooler may require a separately available mounting adapter to fit the LGA1700 Motherboard.

but does not give me a link to it, i cannot find any "mounting adapter" on pcpartpicker

Acrylic scratches very easily and is difficult to clean as many cleaning substances will cloud the material.

The message is CYA. If the cooler packaging indicates LGA 1700 support, the appropriate bracket is included. If not, it's likely old stock and you will have to get the bracket from the manufacturer.

i think i will buy the AMD system

i changed the memory for AMD EXPO certified

https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/LjHx6D

G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 Memory G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30

i will buy some parts directly from the local best-buy and canada computers and order the rest online

EXPO memory is good. Trident Z5 Neo are 44mm tall, you may have to raise the outer fan of the cooler. There is sufficient room in the Enthoo Pro, so it shouldn't be a problem.

i ordered the memory, video card, sound card at canada computers,

I bought the cooler, CPU, SSD, and the power supply at the same place.

they did not have the Peerless Assassin 120 SE or the RM850e.

got the Deepcool AK620 instead and the RM850x for 5$ cheaper.

ordered the case and the motherboard on newegg.ca

will buy windows at best-buy when i have everything.

and i got starfield for free for buying the CPU 🙂

the final build : https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/sZwb89

i build it myself, everything seems to work, the memory fit under the cooler, i did not have to raise the outer fan.

and i save 60$ by getting the dvd version and making the usb key myself

i was thinking of adding a 2.5" SATA SSD, but i will never need more than another 2 TB

maybe its better to add another M.2 KC3000

i don't know what 90% of the bios settings do, i downloaded the BIOS Setup Guide but it doesn't explain much in great detail.

I changed these settings :

- activated AMD EXPO 6000

- changed cpu fan from silent to standard

- turn off wake on LAN

- activated secure boot & changed mode from custom to standard

- disabled Full Screen Logo

i don't see hardware detection info at startup, is it normal ?

is it because Fast Boot is enabled ?

At POST? I think it's somewhat common if the monitor won't turn on fast enough.

How are benchmarks, like 3DMark Time spy scores? Should indicate if anything is lacking/bottlenecking.

I edit my posts more often than not

i got invalid score, don't know why

but in KCD i got 60-120 FPS at ultra high settings,

all option to max quality in nvidia control panel

on my old system, i had 40-60 at medium-high settings
