Anything modern 4k will likey be amazing compared to my 6 year old 1080p Vizio,
I'm just trying to find the best bang for the buck around $400-$500,I was eyeing the Hisense U6G and Vizio M6 both I can get for $400 but then I came across a sale on the U7G for $499 and figuring next tier up for 100bucks seems pretty good

My LTTdriver isn't going in a display case, it's going in my tool bag with a bunch of random Wiha, Felo, Harbor Freight, Xcelite, Klein, Stanley, Victorinox, and Harris stuff. I don't care whether the shaft is black or silver or orange, as long as it doesn't rust and fall apart in a year.

You should easily be able to get a pretty good TV for that. See if you can find a place offering last years models at heavily discounted prices.
Put whatever model you're looking at into Google, see which one gets the best RTings review, and get that one.

Depending on the board those could just be lights for the sake of being lights. My motherboard also has orange LEDs....for some reason.
Your board is pretty basic and I don't believe it has on board error code reporting.

For $8 you can buy external an external button that just plugs into the leads on the motherboard. I'd buy one of those personally, but it all depends on how much of a hurry you're in.

dizmo got a reaction from Poinkachu in Can you get these with solid vented panels?
I wouldn't be paying that much for that case. If you don't see it there, it's unlikely to be available. It wouldn't be hard to get one made for you.
    "Solid vented" is a contradiction.

    Nice build.

Personally I'd spend the extra $75 on a 1000w PSU. Overkill? Probably. But even Linus suggested it, as the 3080 can be spiky. Plus what's $75 really, in the scheme of a $2,300 build? I'd also go with the D15. Sure, other coolers get pretty close for less money, but again, it's a very little amount in the grand scheme of the build, and if you carry items forward, it's a superb investment. If you sell the entire build and start over every time, a cheaper cooler is another way to go if you're looking to shave cost.

Hmmm. 27" monitor is interesting in terms of spec, but the size is wrong. They should have gone for 32" IMO.
I didn't think the look of their headphones was that great. It really looked like they went for style over usability.
However, Sony always seems to go after rather niche markets. Look at a lot of their phones. They don't do particularly well in sales either, but they still pump them out.

I agree with their self image, however the monitors are very competitive for the price, and have spec the competition doesn't.
I'm just so glad they seem to have mostly gotten away from proprietary cables. Even up to a year or two ago it was the reason I'd never buy a Sony MP3 player.
Isn't hat a wired set? Pretty sure I've had it in the past. Only bought it because it was on a deep discount, and it's audio is far from what I would call decent.
Which is the same experience I've had with most headsets with the word gaming in them, even from Sennheiser.

You can do editing on that machine, I'm pretty sure it just takes longer. If you're in a position where your parents are telling you what you can do with your money, I highly doubt you need to have it done at super fast speeds. Just wait the extra time it takes to complete.

What sale are you talking about? I don't see anything particularly cheap. There will also be sales on Black Friday, which will probably be better.

You have an entire build in that list. Your parents probably partially think their money was a waste if you're upgrading so quickly. If my kid did that, I'd be far less likely to buy them something expensive in the future.

Might be a little easier to justify the GPU being necessary for editing if there wasn’t a complete work station in that build list you posted.

what kind of footage is it and what kind of "editing" are you doing? slicing clips together doesnt need that much power.

IDK if calling a whole country pretentious because a company offers a stupid product makes sense, and more importantly, this supposes that behavior is particularly in korea. I see this as an American stereotype. We literally spend bookoos of money buying clothing brands where the entire design is the company logo. We're paying to be walking billboards. And apple phones actually have a higher market share in the US than in Korea.

I've pretty much given up on BT for now. I think the best wireless sets will still pale in comparison to a decent wired set. Especially if you factor in proper amplification. Even just pairing BT stuff is a joke on most phones. I'm hoping they have some breakthroughs in the next few years, then maybe I'll consider going down that path again.

In the meantime I've ordered another pair of IEMs, a new cable, and two new sets of tips to try out.

I don't think there's anything worth upgrading. It'll be fine. There will always be a bottleneck somewhere in your system.
You could possibly try to find an old i5, but in the grand scheme of things it's money wasted.

There's a new socket every 2 years with Intel. It rarely brings that many problems with it. DDR5 is the same, it's been pretty much problem free, other than availability.
Though, it is AMD, so...that's always a little more worrisome.
I think with the proper amount of time spent investigating you'll find that's not the case. It's pretty unlikely that multiple pieces failed at once. I'd test the RAM, and if that's fine maybe look at getting a cheap LGA1151 motherboard. They can be had for around $35.
