GatioH got a reaction from Techstorm970 in AMD Radeon RX 6000 Specifications Revealed / Leaked from 2 Separate Locations: Up to 5120-Cores & 2.5GHz Clock Speeds
It’ll be impressive to see if the 6700XT is cheaper and faster than the 5700XT at only 150w
pls no more space-heater wars

GatioH reacted to WereCat in AMD Radeon RX 6000 Specifications Revealed / Leaked from 2 Separate Locations: Up to 5120-Cores & 2.5GHz Clock Speeds
if this really can get close to 3080 but at 240W TDP then that would be huge win, but let's wait and see

GatioH reacted to PlayStation 2 in Epic aim to make their UE 5 demo run at 60 FPS on consoles + Is the PS 5 demo ouperformed by a mid-tier PC?
Huh? The GTX 1080 and RTX 2080 are mid-tier cards? When the hell did mid-tier mean $500?

GatioH reacted to RejZoR in Intel Core i9-10900K Stressed, Package Power Reads 235W, Temperatures 93°C
But muh 125W TDP yo! They really need to standardize measurement of this because it's literally an useless irrelevant number at this point.

GatioH reacted to 19_blackie_73 in Samsung shows of their mobile phone design direction in 2019, and it's HUGE
still doesn't grab my attention
They should fix their sh$t and release software that does not draw half the battery or more over the day itself without using it much. And also make their phones last longer than 2 years...

GatioH reacted to Commodus in Oculus Quest standalone VR headset: Spring 2019, $399
And I'd like a $20,000 electric supercar with a 1-second 0-60 time and a 1,000-mile range, but I'm not expecting Tesla to announce that any time soon.
Oculus basically wants what you do, but all of that takes time. Michael Abrash had a lengthy predictions segment where he discussed the technology that would lead to thinner headsets, wider FOV and higher resolutions.

GatioH reacted to mynameisjuan in Huawei benchmark cheating? Anandtech examines.
Well I mean it does show peak performance of the chip.
But who the F cares about phone benchmarks anyway. Real world use its all that matters.

GatioH reacted to AverageAfro in Turkish website finally tests 2080 Ti vs 1080 Ti in 4K with benchmarks
I'm honestly not feeling that this is enough performance increase to justify the 1.1k

GatioH reacted to SteveGrabowski0 in RTX 20 Series Cards Confirmed With Pricing
Jen-Hsun can go fuck his mother then. $600 for a 70-series card is ridiculous.

GatioH reacted to schwellmo92 in Threadripper 2 Retails for $1835?
I honestly don’t think cooling this thing is going to be as bad as people think. For example we’ve already had the FX-9590 which was 220w TDP and that cooled fine, and also people are managing to cool the 7980XE with its shitty TIM. You also have to take in to account that the Threadripper CPU has a lot of surface area to spread its heat over.

It's cheating if one button does multiple actions.

$499 for 1170, GTFO.

GatioH reacted to Bouzoo in [WCCF] GTX 1170 Specs, Price, Performance & Release Date
WCCF or not, taught by previous releases, 1170 should be around 1080Ti, better in some things and worse in others. Same was for 1070/980Ti and 970/780Ti. I don't expect it to have 12 GB, but if it came it would also be perfectly reasonably, based on previous releases.

GatioH reacted to Sauron in Apple’s Stumbling HomePod Isn’t the Hot Seller It Wanted
Jeez, I wonder why an expensive, furniture scorching speaker with half the functionality competitors offer isn't doing so well.

GatioH reacted to Sakkura in Your Rift will not work anymore because Oculus allowed a certificate to expire
No it isn't. Worse controllers, worse comfort, no integrated audio (unless you pay even more for a headstrap upgrade), lack of ASW leading to higher hardware requirements...
1. Because of app security concerns. This has nothing to do with always-online DRM. It uses your local system clock FFS.
2. They did. Reddit, Twitter, official forum (on their website).
3. They fucked up. It happens sometimes, especially for a relatively new company (which Oculus was in 2015 when this was set up).

GatioH reacted to BuckGup in Tech of Tomorrow potentially shutting down
Let's not forget this is the dude who gave me 5 free steam games after I MYSELF screwed up and didn't claim my prize. But he felt bad for me and did it anyways. That's the kind care you want as an audience member.

GatioH reacted to LinusTech in Vidme is shutting down
Yeah this was visible from miles away... Knowing what we now know about video hosting costs it's impossible for me to look at a project like that as anything but absolutely crazy.
