Plus depending when you buy the parts, the "cost" of the same setup today compared to 2 years ago will be MUCH cheaper.

Yea.... I paid about 80$ total on my 4 monitors buying 2nd hand. One 27inch, 2 17 inch and one 13 inch. My computer features many used components and comes in at about 800$. I think my keyboard was 3$ 2nd hand. I splerged on my mouse (60$ new). My whole set up including the desk and chair was probably only a bit over 1000$ and it is a pretty over kill set up. I guess that's mostly becouse I am a deal hunter.

I have a 3/8 thick bowling lane laminate (thin, but very dense) that I want to use as a tabletop for a desk. My plan was to build a wooden desk frame but I am now receiving the frame as a gift (300 dollars towards it). Since there are so many options that range all around the 400 USD price point, does anyone have a suggestion for what to get? I would like it to be as sturdy as possible since I will have 2 monitors mounted on an arm and my desktop will be on it was well. The theme in the office is mostly white so a white frame would be cool. I would like it to be under 500 dollars, preferably around $400 -$450.

PCPP listings are also very not impressive at all. everyone can sort by price and pick the most expensive stuff, making it work reliable for the people who actually have the need (and cash) for this stuff is a whole another story.

The 1060 and 480/580 can play most games on ultra at 1080p

In case you haven't figured this out yet, or someone else wants to see the resolution, here's what you can do.
If you right click on a specific graph and choose "Attach" the cursor will change to look like a magnet, and you can click on another graph to combine the first one into the second graph. If you right click a combined graph, there will be an option to "Detatch" which will then split the graphs again.
It also works if you just hold Ctrl then click a graph to get the magnet, then click a graph to which you want to attach it.

I have a fix for me at least.
The problem is that the font on my PC disappeared so there is just the bold version. 
 
To fix it go to this link and download the Roboto Font folder.
google.com/design/spec/resources/roboto-noto-fonts.html
 
Then go to c:\windows\fonts and drag all the fonts from the above folder and restart your PC.

How does the way it fits in your ear work? Does the plastic piece hold it in well?
 
I have tried airpods and they suck compared to cheap headphones. Apple tends to sell cheap and overpriced products because apple fanatics will buy anything from them.

Thats smart. the speeds that you'd get with SATA wouldnt be worth it in my opinion.

I would love to fold for LTT but EVGA pays more. I have been folding for 15 days and have $10 in EVGA bucks. Although my daily power has risen by double.

The only way I would be able to sell off my old computer is by selling it as a complete package. No one buys parts individually where I live (Northern Maine), so I would be willing to take a slight loss in the CPU and swap out to a better 1060 (The ASUS Dual is meh). 
 
Are you selling off the parts individually? Or replacing them and selling your computer as one part?

Just sell the board and case, grab a new case and m-atx board and the cooler you need

That was a big build!

Thats not a bad idea, honestly I didn't think of doing that. I will probably go liquid cooling because my Dark Rock 3 looks nice and works well, but it's a pain to do anything because it's just so big.

Right click the AI Suite III tray icon (probably hidden) and deselect "ASUS mini bar". Voila! It will fade away slowly. Such a nice way to die! Stupid annoying widget!
 
Arkon's tip is not worth implementing unless you basically want to uninstall the AI Suite III after you use it to set things up.

- You system is overclocked
-Your running haswell, not skylake
-You have 2hdds
-You have a maxwell gpu.
 
You can easily cut off 40w from that idle.

Would a PI even be capable of easily running a server at maximum rendering distance? I usually use the computer to play minecraft while the server is running anyways.
