A bit of a weird comment, but I would have liked if there was a brief segment to show how that new adapter connected to the GPU. and also I believe there is also an included support to prevent sagging, those would be nice to include. at most couple seconds each before jump head first into all the graphs and analysis

also because those are new it was interesting to see, I had to look at JayzTwocents video to see it, or If you figured that would have already been covered a quick b roll shot would have sufficed too

Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 3090 was the most expensive consumer GPU ever made, but we thought it was a Titan. Now, the RTX 3090 Ti is here, with a price tag half again as big. Is Nvidia wrong, or were we?

Thanks to Kioxia for sponsoring this video! Check out their CD6 NVME SSD at https://lmg.gg/rkDFz

$1,000,000 is how much this entire setup costs, not including all the man-hours since it took over a YEAR to make this happen! Kioxia, AMD, NVIDIA, Supermicro, and Wekka combined their efforts, and they have blown our minds.

E-link is often associated with slow refresh low power monochrome screens and the availability of full color E-ink screens since 2016 have been incredibly rare. However a new fullcolor version is now available on larger screens size more common to computers monitors.

Fantastic alternatives for people that want a digital screen for wallpapers but don't want the downsides of burn ins.

The problem with using F@H for testing/benchmarking is that the workload varies significantly depending on the work unit that their servers send to your system/component.

Therefore; if you are trying to find out how hot your system gets (e.g. testing whether your thermal management solution is sufficient and efficient) and/or whether your system is stable, the variability with F@H makes a cross-platform comparison like this virtually impossible unless you purposely COPY (and retain a copy) of the work unit data so that you can start up the client with the former command-line tool (rather than with its vastly prettier GUI), which forces F@H to work on the same WU over and and over again.

According to the OCED PISA results, it is no secret that the general population of many countries are bad at math. There are some countries where they typically fair a little bit better, but there are also many that fair significantly worse as well.

For example, this video mentions that LINPACK solves the linear algebra system Ax=b, but very few people might actually know nor understand that it actually uses the Gaussian solver with partial pivoting to actually perform that solve and there might be even more people who DON'T know that the "rests" in between is actually the system checking the results for the vector, x, by computing the residual, where per the aforementioned linear algebra equation system, Ax=b, Ax-b should equal 0.

But in computer science (and also numerical analysis and matrices), Ax-b does NOT always give you 0, and the value that it returns is called the residual, and you want to try and minimise that residual as much as possible by balancing performance with accuracy/precision.

This is the range of results that you can get with the AMD Ryzen 9 5950X (on an Asus X570 TUF Gaming Pro WiFi motherboard, with 4x 32 GB DDR4-3200 unbuffered, non-ECC RAM):

And here is the same test, on an Intel Core i9-12900K on an Asus Z690 Prime-P D4 motherboard, also with 4x 32 GB DDR4-3200 unbuffered, non-ECC RAM:

And here is what you can get when you overlay the results between the two platforms over top of each other:

It's nice to see PCIe P2P DMA finally accessible through an easy-to-use abstraction layer, let's see how people make use of it. I wonder if it'll be possible to use this API with non-DirectX related stuff, such as databases or other stuff that may want to transfer data between an NVMe and something like a NIC (something that's already possible on Linux).

Now all that's left is to see applications making actual use of it, and how well it'll catch on as time goes.

Why do these cells even have to be welded together? There could be spring-loaded contacts on the underside of the BMS PCB and another PCB on the other side and the entire thing is just a 18650 sandwich and held together by the housing. Recycling and re-celling would be much easier.

Due to what we've observed with other events over the course of the past year, we've made the tough decision to delay LTX until 2023.

This wasn't an easy decision, but with COVID-19 still affecting events worldwide, this is what we felt we needed to do. Our goal with LTX is to increase interactivity each year as we grow, and we feel that this isn't yet possible for us to do in a safe manner.

We want LTX to return, it's just a matter of when. We've been working on a lot of ideas and partnerships behind the scenes, and are looking forward to sharing those when the time is right.
Sorry for the bad news, we can't wait to see you all in person again.

Wow. That came out of the blue for me. When I think about it, the thing is 20 years old and really starting to show its age and limitations, so of course it makes sense that it’s going to be retired in ten years. Most big budget government projects like that usually see similar service lives. I’m excited to see where space travel will go when the private sector really gets going. The idea of many, continuously inhabited space stations really excites me. Just waiting on space trucking and square hogs to become a thing next.

Tamesh16 got a reaction from RockSolid1106 in Are we pirates?
I have one thing with the Ad block argument, Usually ads used to be to help pay for things that are generally free, like Youtube, or Google. Free content/services buts Ads help pay for those things.
Someone even started Free water paid by Ads. But the context that blocking ads is piracy seems to be quite the debate so how about
Peacock a streaming service, free of charge... but there are Ads. or in the US you can do the same for NBC and some other channels. And this content is paid for by the advertisement, rather than a subscription charge.
So exchange is this, you give the company your time for them to show you some ads and to get content, but if you run Ad block you are getting service for free.
Almost like getting that bottle of water without the label, although the water company might still get the money to pay for that bottle from the advertiser, the advertiser is not getting what they paid for which is an Ad delivered.
So I mean If its piracy or not is not up to me, but its not the equal exchange for service if you use ad block.
