Mini B is a superior connector to micro usb. Still used today and I've never had one fail.

Bahaha what in the world am I even reading? I've recorded with many mics over the years recording music/voiceover/etc and you certainly do not need "50k worth of studio grade pro gear" to get good results. Especially in the modern era where even your entry model interfaces and mixers have extremely clean preamps with plenty of gain.

If you're having issues with sound quality it comes down to the user not the mic. I could use the SM57/58 for basically anything and replace my EV mics if I had to. If you don't like the sound profile of the mics that's fine but that's purely subjective and an aspect that's super easy for prospective buyers to "experience".

Brian McKee got a reaction from Bombastinator in Do I need a Macbook?
The difference is that older macs could still function without a working main drive. As far as I can tell the new m1/m2 need a functioning main drive to boot off an external.

I do love me some plane shots. Perhaps the props are a bit too frozen for my tastes though. Would have shot this at a slightly lower shutter speed. Otherwise very well captured.

Practicing using my sigma 10-20. Never been particularly good at using wide angles. Camera used is the Pentax KP.

If you want to sell, sell sooner rather than later. Market prices will not hold if the crypto situation gets worse plus nvidia is just sitting on a ton of stock with 3000 series so 4000 won't hit till late this year. If you don't have a backup to game on right now then you just have to play it by ear but I suspect it'll be far less worth it in a few months to hock your gpu.

Brian McKee got a reaction from rikitikitavi in The m2 macbooks are literally a joke
I doubt the pricing is malicious. There's no way these massive socs have amazing yields, and they literally have to have entirely different boards for different SKUs which is why upgrading anything past base price costs so much.

The other stuff I'm not gonna comment on.

Make sure you have a proper 1200 watt psu if you go for any mid range/high end 4000 series card and good air conditioning as it turns your room into a sauna while gaming.

When reassembling the card be careful with how much torque you use on the screws around the die. Usually gpus don't have stops to tell you when you're done tightening and if you overdo it you risk cracking the die.

I find critical sharpness unimportant for panned action shots. More blur on the subject can be desirable actually. I like this shot I've always been bad at this technique.

Brian McKee got a reaction from Psittac in Beyerdynamic Custom One Pros louder in one ear
While it could be the drivers (or some circuitry in the headphones) the more likely culprit would be the wires. I believe these are hard wired cables like most of beyerdynamic's stuff so it'll require a bit of soldering to replace, but it isn't a hard repair at all. While you're at it, it's worth replacing the ear cups too.

Brian McKee got a reaction from Dedayog in AT&T Fiber Advertising 17ms ping "for gamers"
Biggest advantage of fiber that I generally try to sell people on isn't even latency, it's reliability. Ever since I swapped out from cable to fiber my internet hasn't dropped out a single time.

The reduction in ping is of course nice though.

The interface has nothing to do with rollover (at least in this case that is), it'd all have to do with the matrix chosen by microsoft. Just test your common key combos and see if they work.
