Chace reacted to U.Ho in CRAZY PING SPIKES PLS HELP!!
It might still be the channel if it's in use somewhere that only affects the part of your room you're using the network in.

One way to confirm is to move your computer close to a computer with no issues and see if you still get issues.
If you do, I'm out of ideas. If you get it working near the other computer, the issue is with the location.

If the issue is the location, it's either bad reception or interference. I guess you'd know if you were too far away from the access point / router so my guess is interference.

You can probably change the channel of your wifi in the router settings. Could help you and not affect anyone else, could help you and make someone elses connection worse. If you want to make sure before doing anything, there's an app for at least android called wifi analyzer that you could use to check what channels are being used in different parts of your house. Overlapping as little as possible is a good goal.

It's currently unavailable at Amazon US but the Qpad MK-50 Pro goes for around 76€ in germany for the blue switch variant (others are even cheaper). Maybe you can find it somewhere else at a decent price.

Btw, I totally understand the need for a second mechanical keyboard for work. I got used so much to my Cherry MX board (MX Reds) that I could barely type, let alone game on a substitute rubberdome keyboard when I had to let it dry after a minor spill.

Edit: Haha, yeah, almost forgot; there's also the Cherry MX-Board 3.0 for around 80$ on Amazon US. Not very fancy, all plastic, pretty bendable and I'd highly suggest buying a right angle Mini-USB cable along with it cause the connector of the provided cable is too long and has a too much leverage and will eventually break the mini USB plug. (I and many others had that issue and I needed to RMA it). With a smaller right angle connector I didn't run into that issue. The build quality overall is rather basic but what's great about it are the low profile keycaps which I find so much more pleasent to use. Also, it's the only one which use these out of the box as far as I know.

You missed the time to buy. The AUD is pretty weak right now. I forget when, but a while back you could have got a Tesoro Durandal with MX Blues for like $50~70 AUD off ebay.au. Those are now going for upwards of $100 AUD on ebay.au.

You might try posting on whirlpool, tho the MK thread there is filled with DIY custom keyboard snobs that'll tell you no, keep your money and suffer another semester till you can afford a real keyboard.

I know I've seen Cougar with some keyboards around the $100~ mark at CPL and such, but any less than that is gonna have to be non Cherry switches.

thanks, craigslist isn't in Australia but we have similar sorts of sites. I've heard bad things about second hand mechanical keyboards but if I could get a second hand one for cheap I'll probably jump at that.

I think your CPU will bottleneck the RX 480 in a lot of games.
Some good Nvidia GPUs are the GTX 950, GTX 760, GTX 960,and GTX 770.
    Some good AMD GPUs are the R9 270x, HD 7950, R9 280, R9 285, R9 380, HD 7970 and R9 280x.

AMD doesn't make the HD 7xxx series or the Rx 2xx series, Nvidia doesn't make the GTX 7xx series anymore, but they are good used cards if you want as cheap as possible.

I'am using the k70 rgb at a daily basis. Here some of the pros.
-Great build quality with the brushed metal.
    -Looks really professional
    -the wrist rest is awesome
-has a lower percentage of being occured with led burnout.
    -MEDIA CONTROLLERS!!!
    -brown and red cherry switches.
-almost a non end with what you can do with the rgb lightning.
-keyboard profiles can be downloaded from corsair rgb share for free if you can't or don't want to program you own.

    the cons
-the aliminum build, because of the fact that the brushed metal is so "detailed", dust particles is very eailsy seen on the brushed metal, which makes that you have to clean the keyboard to not look crappy all the time.
    - The k70 does NOT have cherry mx blues if you can't find a keyboard at ebay or something. They were discontinued because the supply of cherry mx blues were so short at the time.
    -no extra usb port.
-takes two usb port when being used in usb 2.0 but can be used with one only in usb 3.0.
-really hard to make your own keyboard rgb profiles if you don't have the knowledge to program the lightning.

if you wan`t rgb and cherry mx blue`s i would recommend the corsair strafe rgb. The lightning is better than the corsair k70 rgb with the white backplate under the keycaps which helps the keyboard with the apperance. It looks better.
I can also recommend the strafe for this reason with the dying led`s. The rgb led is mounted underneath the keyswitch instaed of on top off the keyswitch. This helps against led burnout.

the CX green have long term reliability issues, it doesnt take heat very well

for black red, the only psu that comes to mind is the Corsair AX lineup, good quality but have a price premium

if you want neutral colours, the EVGA G2/GS or the seasonic units i suggested are quite fine

Not that PSU. Just for longetivity, something like an EVGA G2/GQ/GS, the new CX lineup (the grey label, NOT THE GREEN) or anything from Seasonic, XFX or Super Flower

So in a way it's kinda like jailbreaking your iPhone, you do things its not designed for (push its manufactured limits) but if done wrong can damage them. If you damage them or mess up its basically on you, warranties won't cover overclocking.

    Is this correct?

Making your components (mainly CPU and GPU) run at higher clocks than what the manufacturers advertise. Sometimes, the manufacturers will pre-overclock the GPU and sell it like that. (EVGA SC, Sapphire Nitro...etc). For your CPU, if from Intel, you'd need a K series CPU and a Z series motherboard to overclock and for AMD most of their CPUs are overclockable but the motherboard needs to be able to handle that CPU.

overclocking is a means of getting more performance out of your, graphics card, processor or ram, you can overclock all 3 of these.

overclocking can give you boosts in things such as games (more fps), rendering, editing and all these kind of good stuff.

overclocking is different with every cpu, even of the same batch, some overclock at lower voltages, some dont.

overclocking is raising the clock speed (how fast you CPU or GPU runs). If you make it faster, then it will most likely increase performance. However some CPUs don't allow overclocking. Overclocking can also make your CPU or GPU wear out faster and can even make it stop working. The faster the clock speed, the more power you have to give the CPU which results in higher temperatures, which can reduce performance. That means you have to be careful in how you overclock

Well it's generally not something turn on and off frequently.  You're just letting the part run faster, but due to speedstep/turbo boost and other tech like that, the component isn't going to run at that full speed all the time.  It will automatically increase from idle speeds when needed (and only when needed), and overclocking just lets it increase to a higher level.
