You are making a very good point, but I think you can have targeted ads without tracking such an absurd amount of info. For example, if I Google "Pizza Stores" google can not use my GPS location and instead ask me to select the area I'm located in. Or for targeted ads in apps or websites, maybe give me the option to disable the data harvesting but let me select some things that interest me and give me ads based on that.

Basically, targeted ads are fine, the absolutely insane amount of data big tech companies collect is not.

You'd be surprised. There are tons of little kids who play fortnite religiously on their parents ipad/iphone.
I guess I'm the only weirdo who actually takes the time to disable everything other than the necessary stuff.

It doesn't even matter whether Epic stood for anyone but themselves. It could have a 100% selfish motivation. It's not a matter of being essentially good or being essentially evil, but a matter of falling on the right or wrong side in a given circumstance. Companies can find themselves in either side on a case-by-case basis.

What matters in each of these controversies is that, in order to increase their profits, Epic pushed for a change for the better, while Facebook is pushing for a change for the worse. One was demanding Apple be less abusive, the other is demanding Apple allows them to be more abusive.

Oh, didn't know that cause I didn't follow that drama very closely. Still though, I would rank what epic did much higher than what facebook is doing in terms of credibility.

This isn't even comparable with what epic did though. I don't really like Epic, but you can't deny that they put their money where their mouth is and got Fortnite removed from the App Store as well as offered a permanent discount in the in game currency on all platforms. You could definitely say that Epic only cared about their profits, but I don't think this is the case when you consider everything they did. Unlike Facebook, Epic did seem to genuinely care (at least a bit) about the little guy too. Facebook just wants to sell your data.

Yeah best thing to do is to contact logitech. When i first got my Logitech G pro X headset, the right side of it didnt work. So i tried going in to the store i bought them from and they couldnt do anything for me. So i contacted logitech, and they sent me a new pair within 1-2 weeks. They have never died on me since then.
Thats why im a logitech fanboy. They got great support and their products is magnificent.

PCGuy_5960 reacted to kirashi in A question about leaving a mouse plugged in
I'd imagine if you left it for years and years the LED lights and/or plastics in the mouse would start to wear out/breakdown, but the PC would become obsolete long before that happened, so under real-world conditions leaving a mouse plugged in but not in use won't have much effect on its' longevity.
