So in conclusion, no top end intel CPU has ever been so improved that they are worth throwing the most recent previous generation machine into the garbage and building a new machine.  ...None of this is shocking news.

Sadly i do not have a solution, but i do have the exact same trouble since not too long.
Full-screen games, make any video playback choppy, be it in my browser or media player classic.

    Im running:
    6700k with h100igtx
    evga 980ti sc
    16 gb corsair platinum.

Everything else seems to run great and my hardware can easily handle the load. Did not used to be this way, only started a while back.

I'm sorry, but the only reason for pirating is not being able to afford to pay for the content. If you can afford to purchase it, then you should. How much money it has made is irrelevant.

At default, it doesn't use more than 1 GPU. If you use the -multigpu launch command, it puts load on multiple cards, but the scores don't change at all. Who knows what the load on the second GPU is. It just seems to be artificial load from what I can tell.

I'm not taking any credit for this at all. But this is a pretty neat little setup these guys do. They don't go into details on parts or a build guide, but it is eerily similar to the scrapyard wars pt 2 watercooling challenge. With access to amazon/ebay it would be interesting to see what @LinusTech or Slick could come up with for a homemade watercooling solution, and if the cooling performance would be as dramatic as this video shows.

JorithZ reacted to WildCAt in Crazy story about android TVbox that became an iPad.
    Hi! ^^
(Sorry if I've posted it in wrong forum branch)
Several years ago we've bought an android tv-box.
It served me and my family well for several years.
Specs are not that important in this story, but there they are:
    Android 4.4
    1GB RAM
    Amlogic quadcore 1.4HGz
    8GB memory.

This device served us well - online TV, browsing, music, file sharing and so on. But recently cheap Chinese memory deciteed to take a break and damaged ROM. Because of that device won't boot. The only option was to take it apart and "short circuit" certain legs on memory chip and make it boot from SD card and install new firmware. After such operations tv-bow worked well again.
Hoverer, memory glitches again and again and this algorithm was repeating every several months.
But that is not what is this story about.
One day memory went completely crazy and there was no way to install new firmware on it. It just hanged on install. (BTW, it was official firmware for this device)
But after countless attemptions it finally worked! It installed the firmware and booted into launcher and connected to WiFi!
But now comes the most interesting part.
    It was not android anymore.
It decided to became an iPad.
My dad connected to his Google account via tv-box and got mail that someboby connected from our IP via iPad (we don't have an iPad) and using safari browser! Stock browser is not safari browser.....
"Ok, nvm, crazy glitch." - we thought.
But preinstalled play marked wont launch. Because he told us, that we're trying to connect from iPad.
And Google chrome page suggested to download chrome for iPad
And everything was acting like it is an iPad.
OK, downloaded iTunes, why not??? ._.
Tried to install elixir for android via apk from flash, but then memory glitched one more time, everything went black and tv-box had damaged ROM again...
After that we decided to not torment it anymore...

    That's it)
But will someone explain me how the hell it became an iPad??

Android Authority did not include this piece in the article, but some websites like QZ did:
So yeah... It works on the iPhone too. Just with a lower success rate (not to mention all the other ways someone can bypass it).

Fingerprints, regardless of what technology you use, are terrible as password replacements. Wanna know what happens when your password gets compromised? You change it and carry on with your life. Wanna know what happens if your fingerprint gets stolen? All devices you use fingerprint scanners on will forever be comprised and there is nothing you can do about it.
They are good as usernames, or in combination with a password, but not as passwords on their own.

Ok, now this build is going to BLOW your mind, there is a little surprise at the end.
    Specs
    - GPU - A BEASTLY MSI 980
    - M/B - I don't really know
    - RAM - 1 X 8GB HyperX Fury Forgot What Speed, as the RAM component of the build
    - PSU - An okish Cooler Master 650M
    - CASE - The Corsair Carbide Spec - 03
    - SSD - In my dreams
    - HDD - Seagate 500GB HDD

And the moment you have all been waiting for.... The one thing that makes this build really wacky.. Besides the fact that I have an LGA 1155 m/b and cpu.. Is.. that the cpu is a BEASTLY i3 2100
It is no ordinary i3, it is MY i3. NO JOKE ( I AM DEAD SERIOUS) I have overclocked it to a gabilion Ghz and I don't care if you tell me it's impossible, think chuck norris would find it impossible to overclock and i3... I thought so.

(I made the description dramatic so I don't feel as embarrassed as I actually do *sob* *sob*, someone please donate some moneyz, I can't take the i3 anymore.... help)

That adapter is not a TRRS splitter that splits a mic and sound channel.  It's an adapter to attach a standard TRS stereo mini jack on airplane seats that have old design dual mono ports.

Not 100% sure about this yet, just noticed a watchdog thing when i started intel xtu for the first time. Seems to be a timer to reset overclock if your cpu hangs. Just trying to google about it, but that game makes the info hard to find

Sounds like you're fine. I can't remember about AIDA64, but I know for a fact that CPU-Z reports the double data rate-specific clock speed instead of the data transfer signal frequency which is what the marketed 3000MHz is. For DDR, the clockspeed is half of the data transfer speed.
