Dont use a screwdriver! If you slip you could sheer contacts. Whatever you do do not do this!

(You way have done it before, so have I, but it's not good advice to give lol)

I have done it many times with my sabertooth Mk1. I am not scared of doing so.

I can't get to both tabs to remove my GPU to clean it (it really needs cleaning) the last picture is what it looks like empty. I can't force it either, do I remove the heatsink?  Thank you guys/girls for suggesting the screwdriver! It worked after using my chin as a chisel :D.

Both tabs are connected and one piece. You should just be able to push down on the one by the exposed side of the gfx card.

The second picture is one of an empty slot on your board right?

Don't be scared by pusing with a bit of force on the tab. When you push it down, the gpu will pop out a little bit.

1) make sure you unscrew the screw near the IO of the gpu

2) press the tabs down with your finger, the gpu will be unlocked when the tabs are pushed down

3) pull the card straight out gently, if its stuck on the i/o, refer to 4)

4) your case's PCI cut-out might be misfit with your gpu's io, so adjust around until you can pull it out safety

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

the tab you showing should not be locking the gpu. try lifting the gpu just a bit and pull out the rear io metal plate might stuck onto something else i myself done that before.

I usually use a small but very sturdy piece of wood to crank it open - I personally wouldn't use something made of metal just because I'd be afraid to slip off and damage something.

Ok. You have the same graphics card as me. No need to make 30000 posts.
