I would recommend this RAM instead
    https://pcpartpicker.com/product/DHPzK8/team-vulcan-16gb-2-x-8gb-ddr4-3000-memory-tlgd416g3000hc16cdc01

For GPU an rx 570 is a LOT cheaper and just as good, or an rx 580 8gb is actually a little cheaper so I would get one of those instead.

As for PSU, I would suggest this CXM grey sticker instead
    https://pcpartpicker.com/product/FQ648d/corsair-power-supply-cp9020101na

I would also probably get this newer mobo

VS=VeryShit. Well it's not THAT bad, but it shouldn't be used for a main system. The VS series is a super low budget offering ideal for a secondary system or to keep an older PC running that will be replaced in one or two years. If you want to keep your parts safe, use a quality PSU.

The lowest end good quality PSU line of Corsair is the CX series. It's on par with the Cooler Master GM series.

To answer your question directly: no, there's nothing you can do. Throw it away and replace it with a better quality unit.

I would get rid of it, because that psu is known to kill systems or just dud out.

Imo, a Ryzen 1600 or 2600, or an 8400 would make more sense. Save the money, invest it elsewhere. You'll be fine with higher end GPUs.

DocSwag reacted to Red Hardware in Apple is first to market with a "foldable device"
There are 2 things to note:
1st: This thing is a tablet so it's massive making it more breakable/ bendable
2nd: Apple is not innocent here, they probably could've made it more strong. If you see some drop tests, you can clearly see that the aluminum used here is soft, softer that what we see in phones which is not a thing you should do on a tablet.
BUT since it's a tablet, it's less likely to be dropped or abused. But again, since it's a tablet, it should last for a longer period of time compared to phones and it might get carried in a backpack full of there stuff
Using a thin layer of glass and a soft aluminum is not going to help with any of that but again, since it's a tablet, it's not going to be as big of a deal as iPhone 6 plus was.

If you weight 300lbs I would recommend against sitting on your iPad.
I would recommend against intentionally applying flection force to your iPad such that it breaks.
I would recommend treating your electronic devices with respect.

ok, the first thing they say is it will bend if you sit on it, to which my reply is gee you think!?

then, about the backpack. i had an asus zenbook of which the display bent from regular use carrying it in my backpack. where is the outrage?
on a serious note, how full was the backpack? if i stuff my backpack full of stuff and then stuff an ipad in there too i wouldn't be surprised if it bent.

about the devices being bent out of the box, i will agree that's bad.

@LinusTech gigabyte boards don't play nice with crystal well CPUs but other than that the seller claims they work with any other lga 1150 motherboard.

The only purpose of the TR 1900X is be a Ryzen 1800X with quad-channel memory and 64PCI-e Lanes if those things were all you needed for as cheap as it gets.

If you have no use for PCI-e Lanes and Quad-Channel Memory, go Ryzen 7.

there's no need for an 850w PSU with anyone's rig here, a single GPU system doesn't need that much power. Both corsair and EVGA have crap power supplies as with every company and they don't even make their own units. 80+ gold certification means absolutely nothing in quality.

Also in case it isnt obvious to anyone, AVX is a straight speed up in these workloads. It isn't like "gameworks" or whatever, it is just that much better of an instruction set if the CPU and program can take advantage of it.

Yeah... while AVX workloads aren't common, in workloads were AVX instructions can be used the performance increases are massive for X series CPUs

Showing off the improvements in AVX2 workloads is actually incredibly important so that is why they showed it. It's one of the primary weaknesses for Zen and was the one area where Intel handedly beat AMD. It's really isn't their fault that people took that improvement as indicative of the general improvement we would see.

Or there is someone with a bit of sense and intelligence who is aware that when you're already liked and well received the biggest threat is yourself and too higher expectations. If only RTG could take a page out of this book.

Yeah, in a somewhat unusual, though very honest move AMD are downplaying the recent reports of 29% IPC improvement on Zen 2 compared to Zen 1 by saying the 29% figure only applies to a specific workload and is not across the board.
    Here's the full statement
    https://bit-tech.net/news/tech/cpus/amd-downplays-29-percent-zen-2-ipc-boost-reports/1/

Very interesting they'd come out with that so candidly, I wonder if the whole Intel faking benchmarks story from a few weeks back has everyone still a little anxious.

Either way it's refreshing to see honesty from a company for a change so well done AMD.

DocSwag reacted to TetraSky in Do you shave your arms pit?
I did a few times, when it became a jungle and started tangling by itself.
Though I wouldn't recommend a close shave, it's unpleasant when it's growing back up, scratchy feeling, chafing when moving and all that.(if you've ever shaved downstairs... well, it's similar, except in your arms pit)
Not to mention, when putting deodorant after a close shave, it will hurt like hell. You don't really sweat more, that's not how sweat glands work. It could feel "slicker" since there wouldn't be any hair to trap the sweat though.

If you want to shave it, just trim it down instead with a hair clipper or something. All the advantage of shaving(cleaner look), without the disadvantage. It's what I do these days like once or twice a year.

Even still the 2600 is faster; also the 2600 OCed scores are probably past 4 ghz and I don't think the stock cooler could reasonably push past 4ghz.

The 2600 is probably better value but that doesn't mean it's always the better choice. Sometimes the extra single threaded speed or lower core-core and memory latency of the i7 may be beneficial to certain workloads and allow it to outperform the 2600 and even the 2700.

Also I wouldn't really recommend OCing a 2600 on $50 B350 boards as the VRMs are not good... Usually I'd at least recommend a $70 board with decent VRMs if someone wants to OC
