Finn the Potato reacted to LinusTech in ULTIMATE AMD Kaveri Value PC Computer "How To" Build Guide
This ultimate build guide focuses on future potential. We wanted to explain and demonstrate the value of AMD's Kaveri series APUs' HSA-capable architecture, while also showing you how to build your own Kaveri gaming (or otherwise) system!
I'm going to list out the components as well as provide a source or two for where you can get them
I can't tell you where to buy this stuff, but I do lean towards NCIX for the Canadians (and International viewers if their pricing and shipping costs work out for you) because they're my bros, and for Americans, Brits, and a couple other regions, the Amazon links below are affiliate links, so of course every little bit helps

Finn the Potato got a reaction from Maxwit44 in Thoughts on this "beast"
There is proof of your point.
I am on the Xeon side right now.
-
Finn the Potato got a reaction from Maxwit44 in Thoughts on this "beast"
I chose the Xeon because it was recommended for video editing. i7 doesn't make sense like you said. I might go with skylake, or this. I'm not sure yet.
I'll change the SSD.

I sorta agree with you and him. He does have a point with going for a newer platform though.
