    £1000 Budget PC

No, the PSU is just not good (should have stopped being sold 5 years ago). Get something like a Corsair RMx, or Be Quiet Straight Power 11 instead. 400W is easily enough for your build. And where's an SSD? Get something like a Samsung 250GB 970evo plus. An SSD is basically required these days.

Cooler master MWE gold 750 (Modular)

They're someone who bought a $250+ motherboard, for a system with a sub $250 CPU, and sub $250 GPU. I don't think their purchasing decisions are pretty rational...

    NEW PSU Tier List

    A GT 1030 is a waste of money. Get a Ryzen 2400G.

Brands mean nothing. Brands have good shit and bad shit. EVGA has lots of shit, and decent shit too. So what model?

    Dell Precision 390 PSU upgrade

"Card powers up but is under powered"? What do you mean by that? If the PSU cannot provide enough power, it'll turn off or restart the PC. If it doesn't, it's fine. And it will be fine, because a good 375W PSU is EASILY enough for a GTX 660. Look at reviews. I ran a HD 7950 and FX 6300 off a (rather shitty) 380W PSU, and I can assure you, a top tier GPU and a (wannabe) 6 core CPU will draw more than your core2 quad and GTX 660.
  10. No. Look for one that's LGA 1156, LGA 1155, LGA 1150 or LGA 1151 compatible. That's not compatible with your system.

    Dell Precision 390 PSU upgrade

You want to swap a PSU, on a PC with a core 2 duo? No, it's a potato. And no, if the graphics card you're putting in it, 375W isn't enough, you are VERY MUCH doing it wrong.

    Planning an upgrade

No, that PSU is old and yuck. Assuming you have selected the correct Corsair TX (CMPSU-650TXV2) in your PCPartPicker. Replace it. A good 400W is easily enough for your build. Where are you from? What stores are you buying stuff from?

    PSU Help!

Wattage isn't a problem. A good 400W supply is more than good enough. The OP's PSU is shit, but their PC is equally as meh. I wouldn't replace their PSU now, and I wouldn't recommend them buying an 8-core piledriver CPU either. Save money and buy to buy a good platform.

need to turn a 6pin into an 8pin

Don't There's 2 groups of people there. Ignorant/stupid, and people who have some brains. If I jumped off a cliff, would you? Just wait for the new PSU. And what is the new PSU? Hope you didn't waste more money on absolute shit.

Friend is thinking on mixing modular cables

Don't buy used PSUs. All Corsair RMx cables will work in all Corsair RMx's. That being said, not all Corsair cables will work in all Corsair PSUs.
