As ShadowCaptain said, we don't need large cars here, to be honest. Our roads are usually small and in some cases, when cars are parked to the side, there's no room for two lanes of passing traffic. A large car would be more of an annoyance here unless you do a lot of motorway travelling and live in more of an open area.

EDIT: I don't even see the point in getting a BMW or a car of that size here. A good hatchback is really all you need in the UK and which is why they're so popular. Plus, insurance and tax is cheaper on small hatchbacks.

While an outright ban of the term is silly, screaming "political correctness" about it is not any better. Trust me, knee-jerk reactions like that will not get you guys anywhere. If anything, you are proving the point of that article a bit back.

In what way is banning the phrase PC gaming master race a step towards political correctness? I mean, I think it's stupid, but let's not throw around terms that aren't applicable.

Interesting color combo, I've never seen it before but I think it works really well in your build! Great job with the custom cables.

Hi LTT! I was able to put together a build that I've been yearning for since 2011. It's a celebration of moving to a new state, a new job, and life in general! What you see now is just the first stage of it, my budget ran out after the current parts, I eventually want to get some LED lights inside the case, a custom water cooling loop, and possibly a second monitor in the future.

    SPECS:
4790k cooled by Hyper 212 evo
EVGA GTX 980 ACX 2.0 Superclocked
8GB Corsair VLP DDR3-1600 (adding more later)
    Asus Maximus VII Formula z97
    Phanteks Enthoo Luxe in white
Asus ROG Swift monitor (the whole build was centered around getting a hold of one of these)
    Samsung 850 Pro 256GB

I also want to custom sleeve my own cables. That will be a good deal of work probably, but this build really deserves it.

Sorry for the lowish-quality pics, my HTC One m8 is the only camera I have atm.

Hope you enjoy, and stay warm!

Your emotions are alive and well, you just pretend like they are not driving you.  The death penalty is not about deterrence in the US, it takes far too long to carry it out for that feedback loop to manifest, nor is it about saving money at its core.  It's about punishment.  The question for society is how should you treat murders?  I'd be willing to give many shades of murderers life, crimes of passion, people with radical mental issues.  But there is a certain kind of murderer that resembles characters of our cartoon villainy, like the people who slaughtered those in Paris, or the guy who stabbed to death that filmmaker theo van gogh and left a death threat to ayaan hirsi ali.  These people are so fucked up in the head, so filled with the sort of over the top malice that I see no purpose to keeping them alive.  Not only do they deserve to die in the moment, they are beyond any reasonable hope for redemption.

This is ENTIRELY about your own sense of yourself, not the murderers.  You think that you are more civilized and refined because even the Joffreys of the world that are captured in your governments care are spared a just end.  No, you think it is more noble and reasonable and aesthetically pleasing to have the Joffreys of the world live out the rest of their days caged, but alive.  Their victims do not get to live on, but their murderer, the one who gutted them like fish and danced on their graves, their lives are still worth preserving in a cage.

In my aesthetic universe, such people deserve to be put down, like a rabid dog.  Frothing at the mouth, determined to attack all who come near because of their own twisted psyche, or passions or desires.  But no, THOSE LIVES ARE SACRED !!!!!!!!  No, those lives are a cancer, and ought to be extinguished.

Part of the aversion is the confused moral standards of so many in the eurozone, who think killing is the great evil.  That all people who fight are no better than any other.  That because some murderous thug kills, killing him in return would make us no better.  That confused SENTIMENT is such a backwards framework of ethics it scrapes my brain imagining people hold such views.  People think that respecting human life means preserving it in all forms.  Even variants who have no problem stripping it away from others on their own whim, THOSE lives are precious too, taking THOSE lives away makes us NO DIFFERENT then they are morally.

ANY of you who think this way, are lost to all thought and time.

P.S.  On cost of the death penalty and deterrence.  For those who use these as rationales against the death penalty, assume for the sake of argument that the death penalty was actually cheaper than life in prison (it may be in reality, I never know with the self serving nature of arguments and sources in these matters) and that it DID have a deterrent effect.  Would you be FOR the death penalty at that point?  Or would something else hold you back?

    1. Show me the proof that Zoe Quinn traded sex favours for a good review, because this seems to indicate otherwise.
    2. Why did you put the word feminist is quotations?
    3. How can you point out that harassment towards Gamergate supporters, but not the disgusting things that were directed towards Zoe Quinn? Allow me to quote the article I just linked:

You talk about "campaigning to make video game journalism honest," yet you made an extremely one sided post. If you want to educate people about things, try to remain unbiased. That is proper journalism.

Ok. This isn't an ssd. It's a card I think. It's using 2 bonded PCI Express lanes to get that thruput. It looks like something that's for a server or workstation. OCZ and Plextor have similar offerings. Not cheap.

Wera Kraftform Kompakt 27 RA Slotted Ratcheting Screwdriver

I work in the slot machine industry, which are basically big PC's inside a much bigger chassis with more mechanical parts. 7 months ago, I started doing research into what would be the best ratcheting screwdriver I could find which could hold multiple bits. I'm CONSTANTLY using phillips #1, phillips #2, phillips #0, all manner of socket sizes standard and mm, a few flatheads and sometimes torx head screws and bolts. Every day I use this screwdriver and it has held up to the abuse, grime, and dust this job entails. The ratcheting action is very fine-tooth, the handle is comfortable, and the bits are very well machined to fit screwheads precisely. It has a very strong magnetic tip, allowing it to double as a pick-up tool if need be. Although some are worried about the magnet harming components inside of a pc, I haven't had one single problem yet. Then again, I don't usually bang the tip against PCB or anything that's live. It can be found on Amazon for about $20 less than the Snap-On screwdriver I see recommended here often. If you're serious about building PC's, and plan on building a LOT of them, buy this. It's worth it.

I have a EVGA supernova 750 g2, it is fully modular and 80 plus gold (if those are the 2 u also really care about) and it is quiet, i mean, really quiet, i haven't heard anything from it, aside from the click it make when turn off, but i think it is a relay thingy, or so I heard, and i got it for about $100 bucks, not bad for a fully modular and 80 plus 750w PSU.
Also seasonic make good PSU as well.

I apologize for the late reply.

I went with the Asus RoG Swift after a long concidiration.
I have spent a bit over a month with it and I have to say, I don't regret my decition.
The swift makes gaming a real pleasure and I don't even miss the colores it lacks compared to an IPS. That high refresh rate and G-synk tops it all.
Even the viewing angles are suprisingly good.

The only complain I have is some minor buggs.
The turbo-button that swifts between different refresh-rates is broken and will only tell the current 60,120,144hrz and not cycle between them (I have read about many with the same problem but it might just be my bad luck ).
I also have some trouble keeping 144hz after a restart, but I fixed it by backrolling the drivers for the graficcard.

I will still warmly recomend Swift for any gamer, casual or hardcore- user. The elimination of motionblurr is to good to miss out on!

    Happy Hunting!
