Hey guys,

Just so you know, my knowledge on PSU brands and models isn't exactly top-notch. I know what all the different features mean but I don't have much experience with a range of PSUs either online or in person. I was just wondering what a good quiet and affordable PSU that is 700w<. The main point here is that it is quiet as I am a real silence freak, but it also needs to be as cheap as possible. I would love to hear some suggestions!

thanks,

-Billy

There are cheap as possible psu's that are quiet but they could have problems(like blowing up)

I don't recommend cutting down on the PSU. A bad PSU can fry all your components.

My Corsair CX600 is cheap, and it runs dead quiet. I have to press my ear up against it and still only hear a hum.

I'm not talking Korean off-brands. I mean the cheapest possible solution from a decent brand, eg Corsair.

I have a cx430 curently, and your right the fan is quite quiet, however mine suffers from occasional electrical noises like buzzing which are very annoying

I have a EVGA supernova 750 g2, it is fully modular and 80 plus gold (if those are the 2 u also really care about) and it is quiet, i mean, really quiet, i haven't heard anything from it, aside from the click it make when turn off, but i think it is a relay thingy, or so I heard, and i got it for about $100 bucks, not bad for a fully modular and 80 plus 750w PSU.

Also seasonic make good PSU as well.
