10ochamberlain1 got a reaction from FilipSebik in Sub zero video
Am I the only one that thought the sub zero build a while ago looked absolutely shit. The case was so empty and it should've had another graphics card in there or something

see the wiggly bits of traces on a motherboard? those are there to delay signals by minuscule amounts of time to keep stuff in sync. The timing is so prcise that even the tiniest change in timings will fuck up the whole system

10ochamberlain1 got a reaction from 404-USER-NOT-FOUND-ERROR in Need help mounting my d-14 heatsink
1. Take off your gpu for the mean time
2. Remove all the cables from the motherboard
3. Install the cooler (it will be a lot easier without a gpu in the motherboard). Do this by putting the back plate that came with the cooler on the back of the motherboard and putting the appropriate screws through the backplate and then through the board. Turn over the motherboard so you're looking at the CPU socket and screw on all the appropriate screws and mounting brackets. Then put the cooler on and tighten it down in a cross pattern
4. Put all the motherboard cables back in (don't forget 8 pin CPU power and the 24 pin motherboard power
5. Put your gpu back in and plug that into power as well
6. Short the pins and post that bitch

10ochamberlain1 got a reaction from gastnl123 in i7 or i5
The i5 and the 970. It still packs a performance punch but you'll be able to use the 970 for some performance gaming. You'll be more happy waiting for a video to render than waiting for a frame to load

Its quiet, cool and super fast.
My example boost to 1418mhz (without OC) and reached a maximum temp. of 72° in a stress test.
Every custom 980Ti is killer, no doubt about it, but you have to OC them to reach the amp! extreme´s factory boost power.
I love it.
So yes it is.

It's definitely DDR. Alternatively, you could look up DDR and DDR2 and match the notches with your board and/or RAM sticks.

10ochamberlain1 got a reaction from FruitBasketSilex in Tricky Mouse Stuff
So i have big hands, like, really big hands and i use a very weird mouse grip (hovering my fingers over the buttons and barely touching the sides with my fingertips) and i would like to buy a high performance mouse. Shape couldn't be less of a concern as a barely touch it but i would like some red lighting on it and a 4 directional scroll wheel (that can be bumped left and right). Any good ideas?

If you can, squeeze in a Hyper 212 evo CPU cooler for OCing the G3258.
Happy gaming!

Your placement ideas are better than mine! I've held a similar pump (wasn't that exact model), and it's very tiny; should fit right by the rad. And with the 80mm fan grills, you already have the mounting holes for the res (which is also pretty tiny).
Phobya doesn't include clear tubing in any of their kits. You can however: copy the exact components list from the kit and purchase things separately, with the exception of the tubing. Or just get the kit and add tubing.
The tubing used by the kit is 13mm OD, 10mm ID. As long as you keep those specs, it's going to fit. This is pretty good tubing from Tygon: http://www.aquatuning.co.uk/water-cooling/tubing/tubes/2886/tygon-e3603-tubing-12-7/9-5mm-3/8-id-clear?c=2751
As for colouring, I've only used Mayhems concentrates, and they work wonders. It's pretty intense stuff, only a couple drops can make quite a difference. The main red options are candy or deep; one is more orangy-bright-red the other one is more blood-like. Here is a link for the Deep red http://www.aquatuning.co.uk/water-cooling/water-additives/coloring-additives/15120/mayhems-dye-deep-red-15ml?c=2759

10ochamberlain1 got a reaction from JoaoPRSousa in My Rig
So this is very much so a work in progress. I have plans to upgrade not only the pc hardware but the monitors will be upgraded and so will all the periferals as i just grabbed what was lying around.
The large 26" monitor is some LG tv and the smaller square monitor is just an acer ancient thing.
Specs:
CPU: Intel pentium G3258 @4.2 ghz
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Seidon 120v
Motherboard: MSI Z87M Gaming
RAM: 8GB of Corsair Vengeance @1600mhz
GPU: MSI R9 270x Twin Frozor
Case: Corsair air 240 (i love this case so much)
PSU: EVGA 80+ 500w
LEDs: NCIX Molex Led strips
HDD: Some no name 1tb 2.5" thing (will be upgrading to 500gb Samsung 840 EVO in June)
Headset: Giotek EX-05
Mouse: HP X3300
Keyboard: Logik Ultra Slim Keyboard (will be upgrading to razer chroma when budget allows)
Tablet: Wacom Intuos Small
External Storage: WD My Passport Ultra 500gb
The shot of my desk (yes my mouse pad is a graphics tablet)
This is my modded 240, the red suits my colour scheme of black white and red really well.
Entire pc (excluding peripherals) cost me no more than £500 (750$) and i am pretty god damn pleased with it
Please feel free to make peripheral and hardware upgrade suggestions as i am open to ideas
