Debating switching fanboyism....

N3rot0xin

I like how the EVGA is modular(havent looked at the other ones yet). And, 550-600w is really what i would be jumping to. I know i dont need more then that yet. I'll give those lists a look.

It doesn't hurt to get a higher wattage PSU. If the price difference between a 550W and a 650-750W is 5-10$ I'd get the latter in a heartbead, and the price difference is sometimes even smaller.

OP... you do know, that the fx 6350 is not enough to feed a r9 390x or the gtx 980... well even the gtx 970 and r9 380x would be bottlenecked. That´s why I have suggested the a locked i5 and the  R9 380x (when it´s out)... a 500W PSU will be plenty for that combo, your power consumption will be actually lover.

Yeah but thats an entire system upgrade essentially. Would be a CPU, GPU, motherboard and POSSIBLY RAM. Easily $700-$800 there. Seeing as how currently (until I upgrade my monitor(s)) im at 1080p, i dont think i would even notice the bottleneck. I'm not really interested in upgrading my CPU anyways, as id rather wait for Zen.

I am whatever I am.

Very useful answer.

390X can pretty much do the similar.

Gamestream is kinda eh. IMO OBS is better, and Shadowplay falls under this.

Okay, you know damn well that both GFE and GE suck arse and broken.

OBS Can do better, but OBS can be very confusing for some. There are some very non-intuitive people around.

Since raptr...

 Gamesteam?

Since when can you stream games to Android or other platforms with AMD? I'm genuinely curious.

Fucking seriously? GeForce Experience is garbage. xD

Yes, "Fucking Seriously".

I haven't had any issues. Sorry that my experience has been different than yours.

Never go full fanboy. Buy whatever has the best price/performance.

Edit: Also, ditch that FX 6350 as well if your getting anything above an R9 280X.

Edit2: And maybe that PSU (but keep it as a spare)

Why on earth would you want to do that? I'm being serious.

How much of a bottleneck will there really be at 1080p? Also, all of the extra features, streaming and such, i'll use them rarely. I dont really record game play nor do i want to as i cant do anything with it. So having or not having a certain feature really isn't a deal breaker for me.

I am whatever I am.

Again, get a new CPU before a new GPU as that 6350 is barely enough to handle an R9 280X-which is far weaker than the GPU your looking at buying.

Well, looks like im facing an upgrade. So I may as well go for broke here. (Literally.. ).

Heres what I'm looking at. The RAM is there just to hold the price point for now. Threw in a cooler, because my h60 isn't going to cut it with that CPU. I've got the space for a topmount 140, so im upgrading that as well. Going with a slightly higher wattage PSU, to handle overhead and overclocking as much as possible.

That CPU also is a bit of a stretch with anything above a 280X-AMD themselves recommend a 280X as the maximum. None of AMD's 8*** series (the 9*** series requires a motherboard and cooling that would bring the price to that of a locked i5+motherboard that won't bottleneck any graphics card) Are suited for any graphics card above the 280X.

For the same price, ive made up this list. I'm aiming to run Star Citzen (not on max settings, but playable). My thought is, if it can play Star Citizen decently, it should handle anything. Here is what i've come up with:

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/VyjMsY

Not sure i need the CPU, with such a low wattage on that chip. 500w i have now may be enough. Thoughts?

Looking at this, , and going off my i5 4440 and GTX 650ti-which could just run off a 300W PSU, I'd say at least a 600W PSU. So the EVGA SNOVA NEX 650W will be ample with enough headroom for some overclocking for the 390X.

Edit: If need be, you can cheap out on the RAM.

Ah, well then ignore my last lol. Also, i would cheap out ram, but I'm picky with my colors. It has to match, wish there was a decent blue-colored GPU.
