Will the 4690K go on sale after Skylake?

Hi guys, I am going to build a new computer sometime soon, (probably mini itx or micro atx) and am debating whether I should go with Skylake or Haswell. Motherboard prices for skylake are a little high right now compared to Haswell, but the 6600k is about the same price as the 4690k. I will probably go with skylake once the motherboard prices dip a little, but do you guys think that the 4690k might go on sale now that skylake is out? If it is ~$200 I will buy that instead.

Main PC: i5 4590 @ 3.5 GHz ♦ RX 480 Armor OC ♦ 16 GB DDR3 ♦ GA-Z97-HD3 ♦ 120 GB 840 EVO ♦ 120 GB Intel 520 ♦ W10 Home

Scrapyard PC: Xeon X5460 @ 3.8 GHz ♦ HD 7870 ♦ 8 GB DDR2 ♦ GA-P35-DS3L ♦ 80 GB Intel 320 ♦ 160 GB WD Caviar SE ♦ W10 Home

Right now it's a better deal to buy a 4690k than a 6600k. Once the new release hype dies down then they will be a better buy.

Just go with 4690k, you got mobo, compatible ram and everything. No point building a new pc.

Yep for sure. Only reason I upgraded to Skylake was because I got them cheap (6600k 225, Z170 board 135)

The 4690K is already a super good deal right now, about $210.

Generally older CPUs dont get that much cheaper after newer generations, they just get harder to find.

It's possible it could go that low for Thanksgiving. Last Thanksgiving newegg sold the i5-4690k for $210 flat, no rebates or anything.

And at Frys, 4770K dropped to 170 because of Haswell Refresh.

It just depends on location, and time for stuff to go on sale.

I was going to sell my current PC to a friend and build a new one.

I would probably just use DDR3 since I already have it, and tbh DDR4 doesn't really make enough of a difference to update.
