Not Sure How To Feel :/

Lolzious

So, I'm kind of messed up right now.

Long story sort of short, on Sunday I was biking along the highway with my friend. He was on a long board, me on my bike, and we turned off on to a road. There was a small group of about 5 motorcycles in the turn off lane, turning from the highway on to the road, so we got on to the side walk. Moments later, we heard a loud bang, looked back, and saw a man flying over top of a car. Turns out he didn't make the turn in time, so he kept going, and was struck by a car turning. My friend jumped off his long board and I slammed my bike on to the ground and we both ran up to see what happened. A girl started screaming and crying and laid down next to him until the ambulance got there. He died. I just watched a man fucking die.

I feel depressed now and I can't stop thinking about it. I'm assuming it's mostly because I was thinking about getting a motorcycle at the time. I really thought I would get a motorbike when I turned 18. What if that was me? The guy was wearing full riding clothes and everything.

By the time the ambulance, fire dept., and police showed up, me and my friend went home and threw up. It was honestly terrifying.

Anyways, I just needed to vent. Thanks for reading :L

Ok there are professionals that deal with this sort of situation so talk with them.  Also talk to your friend.  Last but not least if you feel you can do it talk to your parents.

Too many ****ing games!  Back log 4 life! :S

What answer do you want, or should I reach in my mental bag and grab what might fit?

This is probably the best option I guess.

always wear a helmet?

Helmet's won't do much if your ribs get crushed and shred your organs.

I don't think you'll ever get over something like that, but you'll learn to live with it. A soldier never gets over death, he'll live with it till the day he dies. I've never seen a person die, but I've seen a person who had passed just recently. Quite sad... You'll just have to keep pushing on... All I can say is live your life to the fullest!

As DeViLzzz pointed out talk to someone that's the best thing to do, everyone copes or go through experiences differently.

All I can tell you is that over time it will become less numbing/terrifying. You will learn to live with it/deal with it. Though if you can't shake it or it becomes something you can't stop thinking about I would suggest you talk to a professional.

Sorry you had to experience it, sad that guy had to pay the ultimate price.

Oh look, one of those guys.

It isn't about offending religious people. He probably thinks he's so cool acting like life doesn't matter. What a rebel.

This is the reason I could never be a paramedic. I don't know how they do it.

I passed out last week when my teacher told me about chiseling a frozen eyeball to save a life.
