Puush update is Malware in disguise.

Puush update #R94 was malicious. The update was available for 2 hours before puush rolled out an update to get rid of it.

No information regarding what the malware actually does

It's a screencap application that makes creating and uploading screenshots much more streamlined.

It makes creating tutorials and other things that rely on a large number of screenshots much easier and less time consuming.

 

However ShareX is a little better since you can upload images to any file hosting or image hosting site so you don't need to pay for the premium service of Puush to have more than 200MB of storage, and to prevent deletion of your images over a period of time.

I got the update about a hour ago, just closed it now. Kaspersky hasn't seemed to detect anything, though..

That's why I use Gyazo. Sometimes puush doesn't even work, there's always errors.

Jeez, what a mess up. Puush better get this fixed ASAP, because I love using their service. I received the update earlier today automatically and thought nothing of it. Running a Malwarebytes scan right now though.
