Ugh, we're STILL getting calls from home depot customer who need to change CC because of it, now Walmart AND Amazon? That's gonna fucking suck for all billing departments everywhere.

Just to top it off, the group also posted a copy of the movie The Interview, making it available for pirated downloads.

 

Pretty sure other pirates beat them to that one. Also I wish these hackers would just piss off and more importantly that companies would stop storing this information in either low-encryption or no-encryption files, its a joke that most IT experts know what to do with sensitive information yet the big companies just don't give a shit.

Every time this happens I look at the file and its always completely random emails and passwords... where I'm pretty sure its not legit, just someone making up info for attention. 

 

And 13k out of hundreds of million accounts? Its a greater than 1 in 10,000 chance your details are on there and if these are real then likely 12,980 of them are from one of the crappy porn sites, and then one account each from the rest.

Changed my passwords and deleted my CC data.  I never liked keeping my CC data on my accounts, but I always forget to remove them.
