That power supply is complete overkill, you could easily save some money there. Even with 2x GTX 980's a 700 Watt PSU would be more than enough. Is there a reason you are getting a 5900RPM HDD? There's also cheaper 16 DDR4 ram kits, could easily save $50 there.

@Enderman

Yes, this is mainly for gaming. However, I often use Adobe Creative Suit programs like Photoshop and Illustrator. And if I were to get 2 970's would you still think I should water cool them?

@PCzac

Hmmm... I suppose I can downgrade the PSU. I would be overclocking my cpu and potentially 2 970's. The 5900 rpm HD is because it is a 2tb 2.5' HD. I will be removing all 3.5' bays to increase airflow in the case. As for the ram, I wanted to match my color scheme, but if there are significantly cheaper sets of RAM, I would be glad to consider them too.

@spwath

Thank you! I am now strongly considering 2 970's over a 980. Your update was very useful.

It seems to be better for the price, one of the only times it is recomended is twith the 900 series. and the PSU downgrade is fine

@watts300

The 2 AF120's will be going on my H100i. The 140 will be going on the case itself. And what would be the difference between the AF and SP?

There is a mount for a 3.5" drive that doesn't block airflow it's just not very well known, it's documented here  http://www.nzxt.com/uploads/downloads/manuals/H440_Manual.pdf in the "exploded view" number 20.

k

well two 970s will still run really cool, so only watercool them if you want for aesthetics.

@DrClueless SP are pressure optimized (static pressure, AF = air flow). The pressure comes from the intake or exhaust of the fan blades being very close to something that restricts air flow. The size of the fan blades and relation to the duct/cowling is different.

AF would be good for open vents like the rear exhaust vent on most cases (including H440) or intakes like on Corsair 450d.

I don't think you need X99 for Photoshop and Illustrator. You can use GPU acceleration on a lot of these programs. Double check the software requirements before you splash out.

A 1440p Monitor might suit you better for when you are working on Photoshop/Illustrator. The Asus monitor is also very capable for gaming on as well.

Although I do do a fair amount of content creation, gaming is the focus of this build and the ROG Swift has ULMB, 144hz, and Gsync- 3 features I am really interested in. I changed a couple of parts to better suit my needs and budget. Hopefully it is better than the original.

Note that my cpu price is that low because I am taking advantage of microcenter's cpu mobo combo. So its $249.99 normally but with another $40 off

Looks awesome! I would just change the AIO to an H105 or maybe an H220-X if you plan to include your 970's on the loop later, and the RAM to maybe G.Skill Trident X 2400MHz (~$175) or regular Dominator (non-platinum), save you a couple of bucks.
