I'm coming from a Dell U3011, so this in comparison should be adequate.

And it's TN

The price is good....

And it's TN

1billion color 10bit (8true-bit+2FRC) is the new Rec 2020 10/12bit UHD-1 standard TN panels. It will give most sub $200-$250 IPS panels a run for their money in terms of color reproduction. It also runs at 60hz, 1ms, and 2160p. As long as you aren't doing professional work, these monitors are perfect for gaming, movies, everything else.

But I would still wait till these new UHD-1 TN panel monitors to drop to sub $500 before I buy since there's going to be about 3-4 companies selling these new TN panel monitors.

That's a nice monitor, unfortunately my POS GPU won't run 4k, otherwise I'd probably be all over this bad boy.

to that I say: gotta love shitty us wages

you guys have a minimum wage that's 3 times as much as the US and your average salaries are much higher. It balances out in the end.

Did anyone order this from NCIX.US.

.com, but accessed by entering "ncix.ca" which redirect to ncix.com with a canadian flag besides the NCIX logo.

So .ca I guess ?

Would this make a decent gaming monitor for the price? Also, would my 7990 run it at 60fps at 4k?

Now tell me why I would waste $600 on a TN panel and let me know when the Dell UP2414Q drops to $600.

$600 is cheap for a 4k monitor, though I wonder if it's 60Hz because I can't find that anywhere.

28" is too big for me :c

I'm pretty sure 28 inches is too big for many people. I'll just leave a note for @beebskadoo here to finish the rest of this... :P

Now tell me why I would waste $600 on a TN panel and let me know when the Dell UP2414Q drops to $600.

Because people are ignorant and some TN panels are actually pretty good.

Damn. What about if I got a 7970 to add to the mix? Or maybe another 7990?

I have one on Preorder, In the Uk its £480, eta may 1st from Amazon. I see no reason to use AA at 4K. I'm using a 290 which in gaming is benchmarked at 4k here: http://www.kitguru.net/components/graphic-cards/zardon/msi-r9-290-oc-gaming-edition-review-1600p-ultra-hd-4k/

My thinking is that i can always drop resolution and settings if i need to until i get 2nd GPU, but i cant buy a 1600p monitor, then up at 4k later on without buying a new monitor. I will probably never buy another monitor until this one dies.
