You totally beat me to it by 2 minutes. It's taking forever to download 80 gigs, better be worth it.

Bungie is giving out free copies of the Destiny 2 base game now through November 18th, 2018.

This will require you to create a Battle.net account and activate two factor au2thentication via SMS within said account.

I have also supplied the ESRB rating page for Destiny 2:

Is it worth it? I know it's a free game, but isn't Battle.net one of the shitty game launchers?

Thanks for the heads up! ❤️

It seems like activating the SMS Protect isn't necessary since I don't have any of that enabled and it let me claim the game.

Blizzard launcher isn't all that terrible granted I've only used it to launch Overwatch so far.

You can set it up so it exits after the game has started so it doesn't get in the way.

Eh, I got it. Destiny doesn't seem like my type of game, but I'll give it a shot. Thanks, Crunchy!

Figures, since they're giving it away for free. I hear different things from different people so I'm guessing you either love it or hate it. I couldn't even figure out the first Destiny so hopefully I can figure out Destiny 2. I seriously couldn't even get to combat or anything, just wandered around aimlessly in what looked like a lobby for everyone to just come and go. No clue what to even do.

Why isn't it worth $0.00 to you? You'd think for free it would provide some sort of fun. To be honest, I just look forward to optimizing it and getting good performance. The most I've put into this type of game is maybe hundreds or so hours into Halo 2 and 3. Does it at least perform well?

Honestly I think it's the best launcher outside of steam. Very lightweight and does want it needs to but not much more. Orgins and uplay are much worse imo.

Playing the game. It's an alright experience for a solo player like me. Only lvl 17 atm.

One gripe I have - the scripts are horrible (dialogues and monologues). Were most of them written by 8th graders for a writing assignment? Or am I too picky?

It's not Portal-level dialogue, that's for sure...
