The performance difference looks about the same as between the GTX 980 ti & GTX 1080ti.

I paid about $700 for my first GTX 980 ti

I paid about $760 for my first GTX 1080 ti

Raytracing costs how much??????

Visuals are performance too

How much is 4k 144hz?

I know this has been said a lot, but it seems you missed it anyways:

There is nothing for NVidia to "open" here.

It is open. It is not a Nvidia thing. It is a DX12, Vulkan and Unreal thing.

Nvidia is just the first GPU maker that implements these features.

So there are no proprietary hardware solutions that they are using in order to do it? Because there is. That's my whole point.

Uhm, they build a GPU. It is their job to do that. We pay them for that hardware.

What are you on about?

AMD and Intel or whoever is free to build GPUs that do the same. It is nothing locked to NVidia. They just did it first. nothing blocking the others to just do the same. They all talked about the specs, finalized them. Now one was faster than the rest to build hardware that follows said specs. Again, nothing to open here. It is open.
