Hi, I recently bought a Seagate hard drive for my computer, I bought four TB of storage from Seagate and when I plug the new 4TB disk on my computer, my computer shows me 3.63 TB.
Ware is my 370 gigabytes lost.

seriously? this is how it works, you didn't notice the other drives all having slightly less than advertised?

Practically no drive is going to have the exact amount they market it as.

 

My 1TB drive only shows up as being 930 or so gigabytes rather than a full thousand. I would imagine more gets lost like that as drive capacity increases.

Windows uses GiB but reports it as GB. 4TB = 3.63798TiB

You're getting the storage advertised but Windows displays the wrong / dumbed down unit.
