Spider in my pc?

I think I might have a spider crawlinh around in my pc. The last few weeks I have started to find this spiser web like threads on the outside of my pc. I have looked inside it and I havent reslly found any evidence of a spider there. WTF are these threads. They look like singel threads of spiderwebs for the most part sitting totally flush with my pc cabinet. I can only see them when I shine a flashlight in a specific angel. Can anyone help me out? I'm not sure what it could be, but I would like to know if there is anything I should do.

They're probably spider strings. If they're on the outside then the spider is probably hanging around (lol) in the cabinet instead of in the computer. It might venture away sometimes, but it seems like its hangout spot is inside or around the cabinet. I wouldn't worry about it unless you live in Australia.

Leave it in there. It'll keep the other bugs out, and hopefully it'll be smart enough not to fry itself.

Don’t touch them, this is how the World Wide Web works.

 

Spiders eat insects so maybe it’s doing you a favor, however you could try to setup an led light with a webcam, just don’t know if you’ll have the focus or resolution to see it if faint/small

I had a nest in my laptop a while back. They love heat especially in the winter. So I just have a trap by mine now

I don't think so. It would have to be a pretty hefty spider, but at worst it could get in the fan and slow it down. If it's just producing small strings of webbing then it's probably a small spider, and the computer would hurt it instead of it hurting the computer. It can't chew or cut through cables or anything, and if you can touch computer parts without breaking them then so can a spider. What part of the world do you live in?

I once experienced a BSoD while raiding in WoW which, I soon found out, was the result of a massive spider clogging the fan on the top Radeon HD 5870 in my system (I was running two in CrossFire at the time. Spider got the top one).

 

Cleaning that shit out was the grossest thing I've ever experienced. I was not wasting nearly $400 over a goddamn spider.

 

And yes there were webs everywhere. First chance I got, I bought a case with a window. I give my PC a good clean at least once a month, so I was incredibly surprised to find a giant-ass spider in there.

It kinda makes sense that spiders would like PC cases, they are warm and an enclosed space. The one thing that spiders don't like is movement so I guess if you just put your fans to 100% or leave your PC on overnight you can see what happens. 

 

Though having a spider in your room is honselty really nice. For a while I had a really bad mosquito problem in my room but then a spider moved in on my wall and my mosquito problem completely went away.
