Could the use of a vpn stop games from beeing blocked in that case?
-
Well the rent I pay covers the UNI wifi so not exactly free, but yes using mobile data is something I am trying to avoid. Living as a student costs a lot (even in Norway) and our data plans here can be quite expensive.
-
If the things that the Uni does will effect my ability to play online games on PC? Maybe a stupid question, but it is quit important for me to have a place where I can stay in touch with my friends when I move to a new city.
-
Bur PC will be fine?
-
So it will be fine for PC gaming? And if so could I not just create a hotspot with my PC and connect a console trough that?
-
The uni wifi apparently blocks the use of the teredo protocol and might use a strict NAT type. Does this mean that online gaming wont be possible?
-
What would the issues be if they use strict nat?
-
I mean games that use peer to peer for their multiplayer (sorry if I didn't clarify).
-
OK. I have been told that the uni wifi uses NAT so this can cause issues with gaming
-
I'm starting university in a few months. I will therefore live in student housing with university provided wifi. They use aduroam and I have been informed that this means that peer to peer networking won't work. What are som games that I won't be able to play because of this?

Is power limit throttling normal?
DeagleMaster replied to DeagleMaster's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
My CPU is hitting around 84 degrees while gaming. -
I am currently running an i7 9700k with an Asus z390-h motherboard. In intel Extreme Tuning Utility I can see some quite frequent power limit throttling. Is this normal or should I try to do something about it?

Are ASUS even producing non OC 3080 cards?
DeagleMaster replied to DeagleMaster's topic in Graphics Cards
1. They dont't have shipping guarantee. Only expected dates. 2. They have free shipping. 3. This is currently the situation most people are in here in Norway, since almost every retailer took backorders. -

I have been in contact with the retailer I ordered from multiple times. They are a bigger retailer than popshop so they definitely got in more orders. Looking at their numbers I am not hopeful that the card will arrive anytime soon. -

Understandable, but they don't seem to be making any attempt at filling out the orders the already have. If you look at the image I provided you can see that more people have actually ordered non-oc models, at least when it comes to the TUF model.
