One of my favorite looking military jets has to be the T-38. From certain angles, it reminds me of the X-Wing from Star Wars:

Also, some of the early jets look pretty strange:

This may not count as "early jet", but I love the look of the V series bombers:

I like Airbus aircraft more than Boeing because Airbus aircraft have more advanced computerized tech than Boeing aircraft.

Southwest is great, but imo first class is better. I got a first class seat standby last year on AA and it was so much nicer than coach. Hopefully it will happen again, but that was one out of many standby flights on AA, so that may have been my first and last time. Southwest has the best coach prouduct, but I enjoy being able to scretch out (coach would be better with recline, but reclining my seat goes against my morals). Also, I like their boarding process, though it's best in A or B group since you get first pick.

Flying with Southwest made me realize there's more to life than being pampered and tended to. While I'm happy about being comfortable while flying in first class, I'm much happier when I feel like I'm part of something good. On a good number of SWA flights they play games with you. The most famous one is toilet paper races. You have a roll of fresh TP and it has to go from front to back without tearing. First side to get it from front to back wins (they're not the only ones that do this I'm sure). While you don't win anything material, you do feel good not because you've won, but because you're interacting and socializing with people you'd otherwise never even look at. It makes all of your earthly problems seem small and insignificant. You begin to understand that you're not alone, even if no one is in the room. Everyone exists on the same plane of reality as you, and anywhere you turn is life. Life you can always count and rely on when you're in need.

Son-of-bitch we're talking about planes and I turn it into an existential crisis (I should save this kind of energy for my fanfics).

Ya first class is pretty dope. I think I prefer both equally as much.

Yup.  The 717 is a DC-9 type, then Boeing bought MD.  There are a few DC-9's flying in Alaska I hear - cargo.

Im pretty sure Aero Mexico bought out most of Airtran's fleet of DC-9s when they went under, unsure if those are still in use tho...

Yeah, but Boeings give more control to the pilots (though not always, look at the MAX 8 crashes).

Not sure why Boeing doesn't not make their aircraft systems more computerized like Boeing their tech is from the 1990s and Airbus is nice and modern.

Wee trip from Fife (EGPJ) to Oban (EGEO) on Monday :)

Both landings involved stiff 90deg crosswinds with the following strengths: 14kts and 17kts. Wis challenging but good practise.

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

I imagine most would consider the A-12 and SR-71 to be more or less the same plane, so I wonder when the first A-12 flight was?

I should really get back into flying and do my private pilots license given how cheap gas is. I've also gotten an empty summer.

I've just got to find a cheaper place that has 172s that doesn't seem sketchy af.

230-250 is a lot for 172 training.

oh I finally flew for the first time on March 11th
Got to meet my dearest @handymanshandle finally, and it was a blast. From the flights with Delta and to meeting him.

I flew on these planes:
Airbus A321-200 (N365DN)

Boeing 717 (N936AT and N955AT)

Boeing 757-200 (N6712B)

I should really get back into flying and do my private pilots license given how cheap gas is. I've also gotten an empty summer.

I've just got to find a cheaper place that has 172s that doesn't seem sketchy af.

If I lost some weight that's something that I might look into but I really wish there was a more affordable way into being able to get access to a Cirrus Vision jet lol
Like a leasing program almost not unlike leasing a car but I feel like even then that'd be expensive and insurance might not be nice either.

yeah that was the first time I ever flew and honestly I really like it haha
I wasn't sure what I'd think about it but I wasn't really nervous lol

Unfortunately N365DN is being stored in Victorville for the time being due to SARS-CoV-2 reducing air travel demand
