A free DLC, not ALL DLC for free. It will have no effect on premium users.

It still reduces the value of purchasing premium, The only reason I got premium was to save cash on future DLC.

Buhuu, TF2 is free now and I paid for that as well. You still get it all in advance to everyone else, premium assignments, server queue skip and what not.

While I agree that this is pretty shitty, and devalues the premium bundle, you do bring up a valid point with the TF2 thing. I remember buying the Orange Box. Even though it went free-to-play, I would still purchase it over again. Quite a few years of fun to be had in TF2.

Well Orenge Box was $20 with 5 individual games.  Premium is a $50 for five DLC packs (and some cosmetic stuff that isn't worth anything IMO) for a $60 title. Ya the price will go down, but BF4 was launched this year, now look at when TF2 launched and when it became F2P.

Orange Box was $60 dollars as well. Had you been a tad smart you could grab BF4 for 20 dollars and Premium for 15 dollars, I know because I did. A premium edition CD key that includes both costs 30 dollars today, and it's not even some bs with language packs that some people had to do in BF3.

Well, when TF2 went free to play it was somewhere around $20 (or $30, can't quite remember).

I just think that it is annoying for the people like me who decided to pay full price on EA's official client aka Origin.

Maybe you should change your ways then. ;)

You should have waited for Black Friday! Origin had a sale, and I got BF4 as an early Christmas present for much less than the full retail cost. As much as I hate the whole "Paying for DLC when it should be with the original game" thing, it isn't going away anytime soon.

I have BF4 and was wondering what would the benefits of going Premium be if any ?

Nothing to see here - move along.

Well, I was quite afraid of buying these DLCs and just start thinking they were a waste after a while, so I'm glad I waited, I really hope this is true, it's a personal reward for people who did just like me, and a big kick in the S for the ones who bought premium. Well, anyway, it's EA right? :/
