Den of Thieves is a really good Heat clone. The action scenes are pretty amazing.

Protagonists are like Robin Hood. They steal and give to the poor. Oh, do you know they can hypnotize people and do magic tricks too?

Point Break

Blue Streak[More of a Jewelry heist, but funny]

Make sure it's the original Point Break - what an awesome classic. Never saw the remake, as it looked like pretty generic crap.

I'd also add Fast Five. Love them or hate the Fast & Furious movies, Fast Five is a great heist movie that's really fun, doesn't take itself too seriously, and revitalized the franchise for the better.

my all time favorite movie, Hudson Hawk

How do Reavers clean their spears?

The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again.

I remember watching that as a kid and loving it. Then I remember re-watching it as an adult... I was... significantly less impressed the 2nd time around.

i totally understand that. the first time through it, its glorious.  but it is kinda hard to watch multiple times. its not really that its a good movie, but it makes a great novelty film.  100% worth watching at least once though.

Yeah, adding Dwayne Johnson and changing the type to a heist movie really made a difference. I still think it's the best movie of that franchise.

Also, just remembered Italian Job.

EDIT: with my two recommendations (Crown Affair and Italian Job) you really can't go wrong with either the older originals or the remakes :D

Off topic, I had a friend who worked for A king's Dominion/Bush Garden's type of place, and they hosted an Elvis impersonator convention. The pics of all the Elvi doing their (his) signature "thank you vera much" pose, while riding a roller coaster, was priceless.

That's unfortunate. I know that Tokyo Drift has it's fans... but man, it's such a terrible movie. So is "2 Fast 2 Furious" (#2 in the series). #4 was actually pretty good, but Fast Five really changed things up and they became "good" again.

Furious 6 is overall pretty good, but the ending ticks me off due to stupid writing (there's a scene where an airplane is flying down a runway trying to take off for literally 20 minutes, while cars chase it down at top speed).

Furious 7 is great - the plot is somewhat meh, but it really highlights Paul Walker as an actor and action star, and does a beautiful send-off for him at the end (he died during the filming of this movie).

Fate of the Furious (#8) is entertaining, but I think they're just becoming more and more over the top. I expect them to literally drive a car into space within the next 2-3 movies.

21 is a good casino movie. It is on Netflix. It has the vibe of an oceans movie. (Towards the end)

I assume you've seen the CinemaSins reviews on the F&F franchise....

If not, you are in for a serious amount of laughs.
