Linus should make a video about "using a Nvidia GPU on Freesync monitor"

Hello!

Thanks for stopping by. I would like to extend this topic to Linus to do an experiment about this one. Because there's nothing much to see this on YouTube... Also I want to know your thoughts about it. Considering that Gsync-capable monitors are very pricey and I won't be able to afford one soon because Im still a student.

It would behave as if the monitor had no X-Sync technology. Nvidia cards are not compatible with Freesync so it wouldnt work..The monitor would just be a normal monitor as if it had no Freesync in it.  Thats why there is no content on this on YT.

he did make a video where he used a Nvidia GPU and and freesync monitor and then made a comment about how bad the screen tearing was. probably a few years old at this point.

maybe you just need to learn more about gsync/freesync because one of the first things you learn is they are manufacturer specific and don't cross platform,

now opensync is another story

Ok so here is how the video goes:

Step 1) Plug monitor into GPU.

Step 2) Turn on monitor.

Step 3) Monitor works like a regular monitor, no variable refresh rate.
