how safe is it to put Funko Pops/ figures inside a case?

Go to solution Solved by WoodenMarker,

It's perfectly safe and doesn't make any notable difference in cooling performance.

I have seen numerous amount of photos of  PCs recently   especially ones that have a specific type of theme and a lot of them seem to have  Funko Pops inside of them. I was wondering how safe this could be ? surely they would be close to melting as it can get quite hot inside the case. I was thinking about doing it myself but didn't know if it was too risky for example putting one on top of a GPU.

What do you think is it a good idea?

Ps. i didn't know where this was supposed to be posted so if its in the wrong place mods feel free to move it.

It is completely safe. People do it all the time. Just make sure they don't block airflow.

Uhh... Exactly how hot do you imagine the ambient temperature inside a case actually is? o.O

I used to put a Nendoroid figure on my graphics card before I downsized into a smaller case. It's totally fine beyond that Funko pops tend to not look that fantastic vs other figures lol

If Funko figures can't melt in the Florida sun, they likely won't melt inside a chassis.

you can probably store cans of gasoline (don't do this), matches, and greasy rags inside the case, overclock it, and still sleep like a baby at night.

I'm not an expert! In fact I'm usually just 1 google search ahead of you.

greasy rags

Actually, the oily/greasy rags thing is a matter of spontaneous combustion through exothermic chemical reaction.  It really has nothing to do with the heat of the environment in the first place, they make their OWN heat.

I'll just say this, if the inside of your case is melting a funko figurine, then the funko figurine is the LAST thing you should be worrying about

Insanity is not the absence of sanity, but the willingness to ignore it for a purpose. Chaos is the result of this choice. I relish in both.
