You should be able to use your R9 380 with an eGPU. MacOS picks the bus up as PCI-e anyway. I'd look up for supporting documentation however.

All Nvidia 660Ti and above are supported as well and you could very well just enable with a kext.

Probably never. Unless AMD can price below how much value a 13 year strong beneficial partnership has.

When Razer releases a useful computer.

If I remember sonnet was the go-to choice for a dock, but really i'd get a DIY solution. Existing solutions are there for traditional Thunderbolt, which will be pretty cheap now. A bit bandwidth limiting, but you are going for an eGPU so I wouldn't bother.

More like when Apple stops overcharging for a laptop with onboard graphics.

Come on guys, the real reason he went to Intel was to ensure his products where still sold under gaming brands after GPP.

Grammar and spelling is not indicative of intelligence/knowledge.  Not having the same opinion does not always mean lack of understanding.

Their computers are very useful, just laughably overpriced.

Oneplus 6 | Sony 55" X900F . Lenovo Y540 17" 144Hz RTX 2060 . i7 9750h.

Audio-GD DAC-19MK3 > Schiit Lyr 2 + > FOSTEX TH900 . Sony XBA-Z5

I'm not defending Razer, I couldn't recommend anything Razer except for the fact that you get a more powerful laptop for the price. The Dell xps 13 & 15,Asus Zenbook, or Huawei Matebook are premium laptops also.

Most Razer products are overpriced and have mixed quality.
