Yeah, same here.  Although, brand new tech is pretty fascinating as well.

I must say, there is a lot of good stuff on here.  However, I could just take a picture of my entire closet and blow everything out of the water.  I collect computer parts, and many of them are pre-2010.  My current pc is mostly 2007 hardware, other than the fact that I am going to upgrade CPU to an i5 that I already have, as well as new mobo to match.  I'll post some mo my oldest stuff at another time from my main account.

I vaguely recall hearing this before.  Seems it may have been in relation to a conversation about how long six inches really was...

Six inches is a shade over fifteen centimeters.  Where's the confusion?

With all the Trolls, Try Hards, Noobs and Weirdos around here you'd think i'd find SOMEWHERE to fit in!

It's called a floppy disk and a hard drive for a reason.

Wireless data terminal. People born after 2005 May not have seen it. Plug in a SIM card and use 3g networks to connect computers to the Internet. China popularized 4g signals in 2008 and is now popularizing 5g signals. So very few people use it. Now the device is used almost exclusively in remote areas such as no man's land.???

The printer server cost about $45, but I thought it was expensive?, so I threw together a set of computers specifically for LAN printers.

Computer case: $8.

Motherboard Foxconn n15235: $7.

CPU: Intel e2140 $1.20.

Memory chip Kingston ddr3 1333 4g $7.

Fan and power: $13

Use Microsoft RD Client LAN remote desktop ???

Nice! I don't think that's widely used in the US, actually. Imagine how awesome it would be if you could use your laptop anywhere without having to hook it up to a cellular hotspot.

Nice! Just curious, do you have any old computers that you'd like to post pics of? We love seeing the insides of those.

Among Chinese computer enthusiasts, there is a saying: no matter how powerful the computer, it will only be used to play minesweeper?. So I only configured the right computer for use. My major is embedded development. In the future, I will access a simple smart home on this computer, which will cost much less than some commercial businesses?.

10 years ago I had a neat little Fujitsu P1620 convertible laptop and it had space for a mini-pci WWAN card inside, but if you hadn't ordered it with WWAN from the factory not only the card wasn't present, but the connector wasn't populated. Had bought it second hand without it, so I bought a USB one that had suitable dimensions and hacked it in.

That is the best quote I've heard in a long time. I like it!

A lot of people don't actually require the computing power they desire. For example, Minecraft can run at 1080p even on a 2006-ish rig.

as a guy who play minecraft in a 2006 rig, i can confirm this
