How to kill reddit

i think if you are looking at the wrong sub reddit... it can be cancerous. 

 

but most of the sub is really cool..

for some of the sub-reddit

dare I say it is even more objective than this forum....

Another example /r/mechanicalkeyboards. They are saying "Model m or nothing", "gaming keyboards doesn't allowed in this sub" They are literally nazi and fifty keyboard elitists.

 

 

 

Not all subreddits are full of toxic people (i can think of 3 of the top of my head that aren't), trying to rid the internet of toxic people is like trying to rid the real world of arseholes. It's not gonna happen, best way is to avoid using it or if you have to use it avoid stooping to their level; people start getting toxic on a reddit post? report the usernames and delete the comments. People harassing you via PM, report it and block them; failing that delete your reddit account and start another

 

There are way to mitigate the common problems, but you'll never get rid of it all it's human nature to disagree with others, some idiots just haven't learnt how to constructively infer their opinions and thoughts. Also don't enable flamers, if someone says "Model X or Get out" you could just ask why; if the respond with twoddle then don't enable any further and just not reply back

I've never understood the allure of Reddit. Site is one of the most poorly designed sites from a UX perspective I can think of in the past 20 years.

I find it a good source of help; basically a very large comprehensive wiki; at least the sub reddits i visit anyway

I visit reddit daily, it really depends on the subs you browse.

I like this thread, OP points out something wrong with internet cultures that he does not like (obviously with passion as he wants to kill it) and then people try to call out his irony with even more toxic commentary that only serves to substantiate the OP's observations.
