What would YOU like to see in the PC community?

CrippledROBOT

Hi everyone!

If you could have your way, what are the top three things that YOU would like to see in the PC marketplace/community/online (other than lower GPU prices)?

Example: an innovative successor to NCIX, higher resolution displays with high refresh rates, etc.

What do you all think?

Probably going to be said again and again but cheaper ram pricing as it's getting insanely expensive

Maybe something's cool down here?

You'd think that these higher prices would drive manufacturers to increase production. I can't really find a clear answer as to why it has risen over the past few months.

Yeah only few reasons I have heard is that phone manufacturers are using production lines and cheaper CPUs to get into ddr4 and lastly the ssds using the fast storage

Maybe something's cool down here?

I want a single video card good enough for high refresh rate 4k now that asus is making a high refresh rate 4k monitor.

Im not sure what this signature thing is but it could use some RG

I've heard that from a few sources actually! BUT, I've also heard various sources say the (primarily DDR4) is different enough that it shouldn't be the primary culprit (https://www.extremetech.com/computing/263031-ram-prices-roof-stuck-way

It's definitely interesting. I remember when you could pick up a 16gb kit for like 80 USD!

Hopefully Volta will bring that! Though it doesn't seem like NVIDIA is planning on doing this. I believe some info leaked on this and I noted that their stock price took a dump after this :(

Once you go NVMe you can't go back! Someone else mentioned better support for ultra-wide in games. That would be amazing!

Need for Speed Underground 2! With the state of EA these days, I actually don't doubt it happening at some point... Just worried about them cooking the goose and throwing micro-transactions every which way :/

Thats why I specifically mentioned Remaster, not remake ;)

4k 120hz VA or IPS at $5-600

GPU to drive many games at that pace for $700

obviously cheaper the better but Realistically im talking something in the next few years.

4k60hz  VA and IPS panels are in the $4-600 28-32" range which is nice to see.

Or even how some 4k 60hz tvs can do 1080p 120hz ( Very few do this but it exists) Wish my 4k 60hz was able to for some games.
