I feel like the WU's I've been getting this past week have been a lot bigger than the ones in the past. They take a few more hours to complete but are also worth more points. Anybody else notice this?

Updated client and now I cant get it to recognise my GPU

 

It had been working for 2 months before but just nothing seeming to work now

Yes, I've been experiencing it, as well. Higher valued GPU WUs that may take a little longer but well worth the extra time. Less so with the CPU WUs.

yeah they send me a few emails like that too. until they relized it was just me, and now i pay 200 euro's a month over my normal fee.

I'm not gonna go they crazy. I think I'm going to move some parts around and work toward getting a couple 1650 later this year to replace the P106 and RX580. The P106 is still a neat weird bit of hardware and I like having it.  I'm going to put my i5 4590 and the better PSU with the P106 in the basement, swap it's 16GB 1866 to the HTPC, give it 8GB of 1600, and put it in a tower on the H97 board in the basement with the P106 and run that as the full time folder and wind down the Vega 56 from folding once the basement is setup.  it's hot and loud, I made my goal of getting into the top 1000 so I'm happy with myself climbing that high in a month and a week.

I had to power limit my GPUs as the basement was getting towards 30C. Not quite A/C season here yet but the days are getting warmer.

ya im going to have to ramp mine down some aswell, getting pretty warm in the server room downstairs and it even has inlet and exhaust fans...

saturday i left them running unattended to find my office to be 97F lol but they where still folding wont make that mistake again...

due to strong storms coming in and sticking around for a few hours and the amount of Lightning i am seeing being generated i am shutting down ALL Systems except for Flexo and my server they will return tomorrow assuming i have power...

Got yourself some beefy surge protectors?  If not I'd unplug them for good measure.

yep but you better believe my pride and joy calculon is unplugged lol...bender will be too he is still finishing a WU...everything is on UPS's and i have 2 whole house surge protectors...so not too worried lol...but better safe then sorry...and being Nashville still has ~80k customers with out power from the storm yesterday...wont be good if we loose it...

I had lightning hit the ground a couple of blocks from the house one. Took out every GFCI Outlet in the house and the DVD player but fortunately nothing else.

 

Want to get a whole home surge suppressor but waiting on a kitchen reno when I'll get my panel replaced.

 

Just have UPSes and Surge suppressors on all the expensive stuff for now.
