im building my first pc and should i go with AMD fx 9590 or i7 7700k CPU? 

 

My  purpose is gaming and editing.

 

and what gpu i need to avoid bottlenecks?

i7-7700K. The FX-9590 is horribly inefficient even if it could match the performance of Kaby Lake.

 

And you can pair it up with a GTX 1080.

I assume you're following build guides in which case both of these guides are very outdated. Go Intel i5 or up or a nice Ryzen 5/7
