LIAN LI GALAHAD AIO 360

Corsair ICUE H150I ELITE CAPELLIX

based on noise and cooling ,i know they are all made by Asetek and they all perform the same and all what you can do is buying couple of noctua fans for silence and better cooling but i can't buy noctua fans i'm currently in the middle east and they don't have it here

i need to make a decision now 

any help?

Would either the U12A or Scythe Fuma 2 be sufficient to cool a 12700K, and if so which one would you recommend?

 

Another question out of curiosity- I was surprised to see the Deepcool Assassin 3 in a higher tier than the D15. They seem to perform pretty closely, so what gives the assassin the edge?

Yes, Noctua lists the NH-U12A as compatible with their 'best turbo / overclocking headroom' category. https://ncc.noctua.at/cpus/model/Intel-Core-i7-12700K-1579

The Fuma 2 performs slightly worse but should also be fine and is often much cheaper. If cost is of no concern, the NH-U12A is the better pick. Why are you looking at these coolers in particular? 

 

The Assassin III performs slightly better than the NH-D15. This is consistent enough and the tiers are separated in such a way that it ends up in a higher tier. 

In general, the tier list attempts to separate coolers more than combine them. It's easy enough to say that coolers perform similarly with limited data and much harder to separate them.

That’s helpful, thank you! I want to stick to air cooling but have tall RAM (Corsair Dom Plats), so I’m looking for a smaller form factor without compromising much on performance. A bit pricy, but I am going to go with the U12A in chromax black.

Where would the CoolerMaster ML360 Illusion goes in this list? I also don't see the ML360L v2 (only see the ML240L v2)

Added to the list -- currently Tier 2. There are very few reviews of the ML360L V2 but it seems similar.

Leakage can still be a problem but it's mostly due to bad design / batches. I wouldn't worry about that with any decent AIO.

It seems to be. The ML360R uses an older design with louder fans featuring slightly higher rpm and more fan blades.

Cooler performance varies depending on the system. This list ranks coolers using generalized cooling performance from available benchmark results. Quality, aesthetics, acoustics, and ease of installation aren't accounted for.

 

This is not a list of recommendations.

A low tier cooler isn't necessarily bad nor a high tier cooler necessarily great. Assess what's appropriate depending on your needs.

 

Coolers in Tier 1 generally perform better than coolers in Tier 2 and so on..

Coolers in the same tier don't necessarily perform the same.

This list has Hyper 212 Black Edition in Tier 7 and RGB Black Edition in Tier 6. As far as I can tell, the only difference between the two coolers is the fan that comes bundled with the two. Can that really make a big enough difference?

Yes, RGB BE fan performs better but is noisier.

Be Quiet! Pure Rock 2 (Not black)
ID-Cooling SE 224-XT Basic

I really want the Be Quiet! one, but according to reviews ID-Cooling has better temps at max fan speed, whereas Be Quiet! cools noticeably worse
Am I getting this right? Noise is of no concern to me, unless it is revving hard to the point of annoyance

The SE 224-XT Basic seems better if you're only after performance. It's not particularly noisy either.

Hello. Thanks for replying!🙂🙂🙂

I thought of picking Be Quiet! because of a better heatsink and fan quality (at least that's what some reviewers say). 
SE 224-XT is said to have some fan noise problems out of the box (not all of them) and is degrading over time, making weird noises. Plus it has some minor problems like a small headroom for your RAM.

That's why I thought maybe someone has an SE 224-XT and can share their thoughts before I make the purchase.

I saw that Asus ROG Strix LC 360 is in the A Tier - does that mean that  Rog Strix 280 LC II is also an A Tier one as it uses the same pump ( i mean everything is the same minus one fan and smaller radiator 😄 )

They are just made for different tasks, like CFM or dbA
