Posted January 21, 2018 Always depends. I would buy a mod that changes the game in a significant way (texture overhauls, big gameplay mods, etc) but I wouldn't pay for a Nyancat model in VRChat. I used to be quite active here.

If there was a way to implement a trail period I would be more more inclined to buy one that I had tried.
 Posted January 21, 2018 if they are made by the company that sells the game. Hell nooooooo if they are made by some random dude in is basement, can you ask money for a mod for a game that isn't yours? i don't think so. if ask for a donation, that's a completely different story and it depends i guess . Posted January 21, 2018 Yeah, don't really mind it if the price is fair. Not really a fan of the Creation Club way of buying credits tho. They should sell a monthly / year subscription. If it is the company that made the game just release it as a patch or a free add on, i already paid for the frickin game. I hate DLC btw. If it is something more do as the guys from dishonored did, release a new cheaper game. That's totally fine .
 I mean a lot of Bethesda staff use to be modders and they are really good at giving out modding tools which is great.
 I think Asus Killer is more questioning the legality of third parties charging for mods rather than the morality. 2 minutes ago, dizmo said: if they are made by some random dude in is basement, can you ask money for a mod for a game that isn't yours? i don't think so. Posted January 21, 2018 id pay for something thats a major addition to the game, but not a lot tbh. really depends on how much it costs and how much it adds. donations i dont do, like ever, unless i end up using it on a very regular basis I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays... nothing, it just sits there collecting dust... Builds: The Toaster Project! Northern Bee! The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0) Spoiler "Here is some advice that might have gotten lost somewhere along the way in your life. #1. Treat others as you would like to be treated. #2. It's best to keep your mouth shut; and appear to be stupid, rather than open it and remove all doubt. #3. There is nothing "wrong" with being wrong. Learning from a mistake can be more valuable than not making one in the first place. Follow these simple rules in life, and I promise you, things magically get easier. Like I enjoyed all of skyrim DLC as they added a lot to the game. Shivering isles was my favorite DLC of all time as it added so much to the game. Posted January 21, 2018 This would depend entirely on what the 'mod' is. For example, Black Mesa is a mod but so much time and effort went into it, I happily bought it on Steam.

Posted January 21, 2018 No, especially not bethesda's paid mod program mods, donations are fine but outright paying for them will lead to issues especially when assets from other media are used https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/631048-psu-tier-list-updated/ Tier Breakdown (My understanding)--1 Godly, 2 Great, 3 Good, 4 Average, 5 Meh, 6 Bad, 7 Awful
 Ubuntu devs aren't having such big issues.
