CES: Dell XPS 15 2 in 1 w/VEGA M

NumLock21

Dell's all new XPS 15 for the very first time has been released as a 2 in 1 device, where its 360 degree hinge let's it go from a regular laptop to a tablet. The system is packed with a 8th gen Intel Core i5 or Core i7 along with Radeon VEGA M graphics. Dell went ahead and used the slightly slower version of VEGA M, GL instead of GH. Memory is up to 16GB of DDR4, for storage it's PCIe SSD, up to 1TB, and for the screen it's 15.6 inches with a 4K or 1080P resolution. Both supports touch and is 100% of the Adobe RGB color space. It also supports Windows ink with a supported stylus that's sold separately. There is a total of 4 usb type C ports, with 2 of them Thunderbolt 3. A combo headphone jack, microSD card reader, finger print reader, and battery status leds.  For wireless connectivity there is Killer 1435 wireless AC with Bluetooth 4.1 or Intel 8265 wireless AC with Bluetooth 4.1 for those that uses Intel vPro. Battery is 75Whr giving a approximate battery life of ~15 hours with the 1080P screen.

New to the XPS 15 2-in-1  is a maglev keyboard which uses magnets instead of mechanical or membrane-based keyboards. While a specific mechanical key wasn’t listed for an analog to compare to, they did mention it does give tactile feedback.

They are on great sales at Micro Center.

Space Journal #1: So Apparently i  was dropped on the moon like i'm a mars rover, in a matter of hours i have found the transformers on the dark side of the moon. Turns out its not that dark since dem robots are filled with lights, i waved hi to the Russians on the space station, turns out all those stories about space finding humans instead of the other way around is true(soviet Russia joke). They threw me some Heineken beer and I've been sitting staring at the people of this forum and earth since.

That looks super awesome :P. Unfortunately it probably has soldered SSD and soldered RAM and glued battery like all laptops which look good.

Judge a product on its own merits AND the company that made it.

How to setup MSI Afterburner OSD | How to make your AMD Radeon GPU more efficient with Radeon Chill | (Probably) Why LMG Merch shipping to the EU is expensive

Oneplus 6 (Early 2023 to present) | HP Envy 15" x360 R7 5700U (Mid 2021 to present) | Steam Deck (Late 2022 to present)

Mid 2023 AlTech Desktop Refresh - AMD R7 5800X (Mid 2023), XFX Radeon RX 6700XT MBA (Mid 2021), MSI X370 Gaming Pro Carbon (Early 2018), 32GB DDR4-3200 (16GB x2) (Mid 2022

This looks great. I just hope the display doesn't have ghosting issues.

Why would it have Ghosting? I've never owned a XPS.

I have the xps 15 9550 and the ghosting on it is extremely blatant. If you look around reddit or dells forum many people have the same issue.
