3 things:

planned release (not sure if it's product release or paper release) date in March this year.

12nm process rather than 14nm of Zen

400 series chipset will come, but both 300 series and 400 series chipsets will work with both Zen and Zen+ CPUs.

What can we expect from the node shrink because pascal was a shrink of Maxwell which turned out to be a lot lot better ? 

Or am I mistaken

It is just 2nm of shrinking, to allow maybe higher clocks than the 4ghz wall of today... Ipc will hardly improve.

 

Then again nobody can tell you exactly how it is going to be, just sit tight and wait.

I expect the price of the current Ryzen's to fall, making the 1800x a better value, and then it's upgrade time :)  I wonder if someone would buy my 1600 then.

I'm hoping for 4.7 with a tiny ipc boost

ss they said ryzen was worst case senario on Launch and still turned out great

so I'm hoping this is a better case senario with improvements

Some say 14nm Finfet is actually 20nm with Finfet. Then again, we dont know if 12nm Finfet is 14nm with finfet, or other stuff.

Nope, not really.

We know nothing about it right now...
The only thing we know is that there will be changes but not what will changes...

Yes, like Zambezi vs. Vishera -> Kaveri and Carrizo...

Or look at Phenom I vs. Phenom II, though not that much...

 

The performance increases of the AMD refreshes were better than a new generation from Intel most of the times...

 

And there are somethings that can be increased like the frequency of the CCX to CCX communication.
