If I use my ryzen 3 on my gtx 970 and put it into SLI would that work w/ my mobo supporting sli and crossfire?

It will work as long as your motherboard is x370 and specifically says it supports sli

I'd think it would be fine. The 970 is barely edged out by a 1060.

As long as you have a x370 chipset motherboard it should support SLI, not that SLi'ing 970's is any good though.

Hmm, could you perhaps sell your 970(s) and get a 1070?

Only x370 chipset for AM4 platform supports SLI and I doubt you bought Ryzen 3 and went out and bought x370 board but who knows maybe you did ?

oh but I did (for upgrading to another ryzen later in it's life.) I have the crosshair VI hero
