Primochill added Vue on their webshop. Pre-order for now.

Well, I was browsing around searching for some recent news about the coolant. But then I stumbled upon their webshop and discovered they have added their new Vue coolant.

It's still on pre-order only though but I'm pretty exited now.

I'm very hesitant to use this without knowing what they are using to make the rheoscopic fluid. I hope it works but I just don't feel like beta testing a new fluid that can be made many different ways without knowing what is in it.

Jayz2cents did use them earlier as a kind of "beta test" in 2 of his builds... there are youtube videos of them

Main System:

Anghammarad : Asrock Taichi x570, AMD Ryzen 7 5800X @4900 MHz. 32 GB DDR4 3600, some NVME SSDs, Gainward Phoenix RTX 3070TI

System 2 "Igluna" AsRock Fatal1ty Z77 Pro, Core I5 3570k @4300, 16 GB Ram DDR3 2133, some SSD, and a 2 TB HDD each, Gainward Phantom 760GTX.

System 3 "Inskah" AsRock Fatal1ty Z77 Pro, Core I5 3570k @4300, 16 GB Ram DDR3 2133, some SSD, and a 2 TB HDD each, Gainward Phantom 760GTX.

On the Road: Acer Aspire 5 Model A515-51G-54FD, Intel Core i5 7200U, 8 GB DDR4 Ram, 120 GB SSD, 1 TB SSD, Intel CPU GFX and Nvidia MX 150, Full HD IPS display

Media System "Vio": Aorus Elite AX V2, Ryzen 7 5700X, 64 GB Ram DDR4 3200 Mushkin, 1 275 GB Crucial MX SSD, 1 tb Crucial MX500 SSD. IBM 5015 Megaraid, 4 Seagate Ironwolf 4TB HDD in raid 5, 4 WD RED 4 tb in another Raid 5, Gainward Phoenix GTX 1060

(Abit Fatal1ty FP9 IN SLI, C2Duo E8400, 6 GB Ram DDR2 800, far too less diskspace, Gainward Phantom 560 GTX broken need fixing)

Nostalgia: Amiga 1200, Tower Build, CPU/FPU/MMU 68EC020, 68030, 68882 @50 Mhz, 10 MByte ram (2 MB Chip, 8 MB Fast), Fast SCSI II, 2 CDRoms, 2 1 GB SCSI II IBM Harddrives, 512 MB Quantum Lightning HDD, self soldered Sync changer to attach VGA displays, WLAN

I watched them and he obviously didn't know what the fluid was since he was amazed by it.  The warnings on the fluid itself is pretty long and they recommend replacing it every 4-6 months.  I hope it works out but I suspect we are going to get a lot of you tube videos in a couple months complaining about this stuff.

4-6 Months is indeed average working time for dyes of this nature but the colors have all been totally vetted and tested when it comes to the ones available to order. The others that are not available for pre-order are due to them having kinks still being worked out so as of now those are not getting ETAs. As for how they achieve the swirling its not heavy minerals like Aurora which uses mica and thats all that can be said for now. I dont see many issues popping up under the 6 month time period but there is one funny thing that may catch people off guard if they accidentally get it in stuff like hair somehow xD (totally safe...just laws of attraction)

On a side note! they are getting a lot more orders than anticipated so if you want it anytime soon and the color you want is available for pre-order pull the trigger because there will likely be delays for later orders in the week~

Coolant is a bit pricey, specially when you have to change it every 4 to 6 months. Which is below average for changing coolant in a loop. To fill my loop I would need five bottles. I'll stick with Mayhems Coolant, It may not have special effect that Vue has but it's allot cheaper on the wallet & last allot longer.

I remember asking their reps on Instagram a while back, and they said that they couldnt comment on a full year, but that it was looking "very very promising".  4-6 months doesnt seem to line up with that, so I wonder if it fell short of their expectations, or perhaps theyre being conservative on their estimates. Time will tell I suppose.

Yeah, I figured too I should at least wait till February/March next year.

Yeah, I'll probably wait longer than that, as I only got new coolant a couple of weeks ago. Although I generally wait 6 months after release to buy something, as then theres been time for all the dirt to be dug up about it but its not yet obsolete.

4-6 months is conservative across the range value that falls in line with mayhems pastel/Aurora2 yah. Theres some that looked like they could go on much longer but past that its hard to guarantee anything for warranty sake :P

This is going to sound really stupid but what is Pre-Mix (I know nothing about custom water cooling).

Everything has been mixed together already, you can pour the coolant directly into your system from the bottle.

Ordered 3 bottles of Sterling Silver, can't wait to see it.

The way I hope it is with the given timeline, is that they gave that 4-6 months as a suggested period but it can go on longer than that - it's just that every custom loop is different, with different parts, different pumps, cleaning habits, runtime of pc during the day etc. - it's hard to say that a coolant will last longer in a way that will not make you liable for some accidents.

If I got a year out of this I would be happy, any less and it would just be annoying to swap out. Although I guess if you are draining your system every 4-6 months you could experiment with a lot of different colors.

For now I'll pass. My pastel green fluid is perfectly fine right now.
