Help for buying a new phone

Im due for an upgrade,

 

I've been debating between the iPhone x or the S8, but iMessage is holding me back. I currently have a 6s and it runs fine. My question is: Should I get an S8 and double up with my old 6s for my imessage needs? or go with the  iPhone X and have everything in my pocket in one device for a higher price (about 200$ more)?

Why is iMessage so important?  Personally, I think the iPhone X is a great choice despite the price tag.

Why not get the iPhone 8? Sure she's not the prettiest girl of 2017 but she's just as good on the inside as the X and has all the important bits you love from the 6s.

 

(minus the headphone jack, but yeah you get free lighting headphones and an adapter)

why an upgrade, when yours is already fine?

 

iPhone X if you prefer iOS, S8 if you prefer android. that's the main deciding factor, iOS or android.

Keeping in touch with people who refuse to use any other group messaging system. Many people in school also use iMessage to work on group projects, and being in commerce, there are many of those projects.

"Fine", Its quite bumped up and the speaker is starting to kick the bucket, though ios runs alright.

Why do you say that? Not that i'm opposing, just curious. I can understand the extra bulk of having two devices. Any other reason aside from that?

on my 5 days old refurbished 6s+ the speaker sounds like shit compared to what i had before with an equalizer

:( the quality rivals .. not even earpods, they sound better.

expensive if you didn't own a phone already

if you were going to dual wield phones, get a iphone 4 for just iMessage, or an iPhone 5 for all the iOS 10 iMessage goodies.
