Will an i7-2600 bottleneck a GTX 1060?

it shouldnt. IPC is similar to the G4560 and Jayz2Cents did a video showing that bottlenecking doesnt occur until the GTX 1080TI ranges, and the 2600 has more cores and threads which helps other multitasking workloads and maybe some games that can take a bit more advantage of the extra cores/threads.

Will a GTX 1060 6GB bottleneck my i7-2600 non k processor? If so, is it better to get the 3GB version in this case?

It's been said to not get the 3Gb version of the 1060(I forget why though). I don't see too much reason for either one to bottleneck the other

I can see that a 1080 Ti won’t bottleneck in like 4K or 2.5K res, but what if I would run a GTX 1060 to get 144FPS on low settings in games like Rainbow Six Siege or COD WW2. Would my i7 still not bottleneck it? (Because I would want to run very high framerates).

Don't worry about bottlenecks... the word itself has become overused. The i7-2600 and GTX 1060 6GB are a good pairing.

Sorry if this question is dumb.

We don't know how CoD:WWII will perform yet since we've only seen a beta. 

R6S runs at 130Hz minimums on my i5-4690K, so your i7 should be able to get 144Hz relatively easily with a few settings lowered (possibly high to very high).

I run my 2600k at stock speeds and I dont feel like it's limiting my 1070 at all.

The 6GB was the original. The 3GB was released a few months later, IIRC. 

 

I still think they should have made the 3GB into the 1050 Ti with 4GB of VRAM.

Ryzen 5’s single core performance is 49% faster than i7-2600’s, and Ryzen 5 is ALREADY worse than new core CPU’s. So you know, just wanted to be sure I wouldn’t miss-purchase if that’s a word.

Citation needed. It depends on the clockspeed of both processor but the single threaded performance between those two CPUs is not that large... 49% is an exaggerated number.

 

The i7-2600 still holds itself up very well.

GTX 1060 6GB as 11% more cuda cores, and twice the VRAM...it's well worth the little extra $ in most countries if you play modern games.

No. 6GB version came first, then a stripped-down 3GB version came. I know, I bought a 6GB model on launch day (I know, stupid decision).

the 1060 6gb was refreshed. the 3gb version was also reduced to 1152 cores a while before this refresh though and the price was dropped a bit to better compete with the pricing of radeon cards. Both are correct.
